✖As some of you may know, this is Evbunny (also Evkitty). Recently I've been unable to decide whether to just quit Solia, go on hiatus, or trade everything for very nice pieces of art. x3
Moving to my point (and the subject), how do you feel about Solia? Are you having as much fun on it now as when you started? Do you think the site is being run properly? Do you like the longer events and the recent new hairs? What about the new items?
I know for me, though I appreciate the longer events and the hairs, it seems as if the admins are using them to hide bigger issues. In fact, it seems as if the staff has got enough on their hands as it is (at least after reading some things...Dekkard I think it was...said). What ever happened to Hannah, by the way? I haven't seen items that I thought were hers in a long time.
I think the site is being run...okay...though looking at some of the comments in other threads it seems as if not much research is done looking into problems/bannings. That's not good if it's true. =/
Back when I ran a forum, not looking into both sides of the reports were what destroyed it.
Truly the only reason I still play is because of how much money I spent (which I know y'all are sick of hearing from me). Does anyone else feel similar to me, or have other issues that should be brought up?✖

I rather like Solia. Gaia has begun to become desolate in the interaction I craved, yet at the same time I loathed. I'm strange, I know. I rarely interact here without it being in my few guilds that I've joined. Actually... over on Solia, I only post in... three threads. Lawl. I just don't have time to read all the different threads, and I can do without some of the drama.
I like their avatar system, though I find it limiting with what you can match with how things layer (like, several shirts I like "peek" from under my captain's coat). I LOVE the hairs. So much so that I've purchased.. $20 worth. >.>; I wish they had left in the yearly shop until, yanno, the END of the year, as I would have LOVED those angel wings. Oh well. The major bonus of their avatar system is that my current avatar is what I've always thought of my internet persona appearing. I've NEVER had that pleasure in all the avatar sites that I've joined.
I'm not sure if I'm going to enjoy the profession system; it seems like a lot to implement into an avatar site, but I guess that depends on how they're going to handle it. We won't know anything until the end of the month.
The reason I donated to Solia was to get items quicker. -shrug- Afterwards, it began to be something that I realized I MISSED doing with Gaia. The hairs are just a bonus - I can only wear one at a time, after all. Though, I am extremely tempted to purchase a rainbow hair now. >.> I just dislike orange.

Solia is not the same site it was 1 year ago for me. I'm relatively bored these days on Solia. I'm tired of seeing the same old topics, or the same old people either being complete jackasses or spouting flowers out of their buttholes all the time.
As I knew it would happen, too many goldsinks have screwed up the market. Selling is a pain in the a**. Not even fun anymore.
There is little to be found in the way of stimulating conversation. I think Solia's charm has worn off. I wish the admins would just shut the users out for about a good 5 months and work on and complete everything they are working on currently. Then, focus on a ******** COMMONS update that isn't just a bunch of recolors or a few style-specific pieces. Solia needs a major shop update.
I miss the old Solia. =/

Vivione I wish the admins would just shut the users out for about a good 5 months and work on and complete everything they are working on currently. Then, focus on a ******** COMMONS update that isn't just a bunch of recolors or a few style-specific pieces. Solia needs a major shop update.
I think there should be a fifth administrator, one who can do coding and the items...and who picks up the slack when the other administrators are busy.
Again, I don't think I've seen KH in awhile. That's probably also a problem if she still is on her hiatus or w/e.

I newly joined Solia,but the setup is honestly confusing.The shadow items are like trying to help you aim for your dream avatars,right? If so,why not make it less confusing and keep those two abilites seperate,like gaia and tektek?

If so,why not make it less confusing and keep those two abilites seperate,like gaia and tektek? Tektek isn't made by Gaia, which is why its layering isn't exactly like Gaia's. It was made by a user of Gaia. I actually find it BETTER to have it on the same site rather than running all over the net to different services to attempt to see how something looks on my avatar - or if I can even wear it.

To be honest, it's really hard to make friends on Solia.
With everyone getting banned and PMs are the only paper trails mods and admins can check, it's pretty messed up.

It's just boring now, man. I made a new account a month or two ago, but nothing held my interest. The TS is boring, the other forums are boring, the whole site is boring. Maybe it'd be better if there were guilds or something, but there's not. It feels like they keep trying to do a bunch of things but they never finish them. For instance, recolours. I knew they wouldn't keep up on that. Plus, there's been maybe three or four shop updates since I joined the site over a year ago, and that's unacceptable. I know they're understaffed, but Gaia did better than that in 2003. It's mostly only recolours too. And there's a few choice words I'd like to say about most of the admins. Hannah's excluded, but I'm not sure if she's even with the site anymore. I see her on Gaia a lot though.

I'm having issues staying interested and damn did I hate the Halloween event xD
Ended up buying all the Halloween items I wanted rather then working for them.
Most of the users I liked talking to are rarely or never on anymore. With a few exceptions.
And the lack of commons updates is indeed crappy.

The way things are looking to me, the newer artists hired are doing most of the work. I haven't seen much of anything that looks like KH's work. That's also another problem I have with Solia...KH is pretty much on that level of artistry where few people can match her talent, so everyone else's work is gonna look like crap next to hers. I wish they would've kept some of the older artists (maybe trained 'em?) so the gap in quality wouldn't be so painfully obvious.

Someone recently told me that KH is active again here and less active on Solia. I can understand why. =/ I want to give someone an example of why I applaud people who give Solia a piece of their mind. Sure, some of the mods and admins are nice and fun, but there are a few that need to go. There was a thread on Solia, I won't name which one, but it got out of hand at one point and I reported it. However, a moderator took the thread starter's side, and I let it go. I think it got taken off at one point and restarted, too? Anyway, I revisited it today and noticed that flaming was still going on. This time, I took a different approach. Here is my direct quote: "Wow, this thread is still around. :O Look, all I can say is that people have their own opinions, whether they are really right or not. I would like mothers not to drink, smoke, or do drugs while they are pregnant, but some women are going to do it anyway. I can tell that this is a really touchy subject to a lot of people. In all honesty, if you disagree with this thread, ignore it and don't post here. My own personal opinion I won't share, as I've said before, but -insert name here- has the right to post this topic whether I agree with it or not. I know I'm going off-topic by saying that, but I've been in a situation like this in another thread where I learned it's better to just let it go than to keep arguing and get yourself in trouble over it." Next thing I know, I get a PM by the same mod I originally reported it to, and he's telling me to stay on topic. *headdesk* Do your job and I won't HAVE to go off-topic...

It's kawaiihannah. I've noticed her in the GCD and SF a lot lately. She's not with Solia anymore. I've been reading her post history and she's said she quit Solia in June, though I don't know why, which certainly explains a lot. The art has seriously gone downhill since then.
