I saw the midnight premiere and I enjoyed it a lot. I thought Alice was awesome! I also won the four New Moon collectors cups my theater gave away as a prize. They love me at my theater because I saw Twilight there 11 out of my 12 times watching the movie. I'll probably go see it again come Sunday. Tomorrow is too hard and tonight's out because of my play at college otherwise I would.

[~+~] I loved it.
I'm so much happier with the new director they have, he's made it so true to the book! (I know it will never be exactly, but the Twilight movie was such a let down for me.)
Also, i still don't like her, but i thought Kirsten's portrayal of Bella was a lot better in this movie than the first one. But srsly. Was i the only one who really thought: PHWOAR @ TAYLOR (JACOB)? Mhmm. <3

I'm probably going to watch it tonight. I've heard it is much better than Twilight so I'm crossing my fingers.
I've been excited for this day for months now, especially after seeing Taylor during the filming.. HOMG! Even if he's still too young for me... hooooo weeeee, he is super fine.

When Jacob came on screen and took his shirt off almost the entire right side of the theater let out a loud scream that made everyone's ears ring.

I loved it. Waited four and a half hours in line to see it at the midnight premier... The direction of the film, and the trueness to the book was just so much better than Twilight. And the Cullens actually didn't look human, and beautiful at the same time which in Twilight, Catherine made Bella and Edward look equally pale. =P The special effects were great. Kristen's acting was a bit better, and Taylor seriously made me Team Jacob. Previously I was on Team Switzerland, but wow... I was really rooting for The Volturi to kill Edward... JOKE. :]
I wish they would have spent more time with Bella hanging out with the wolf pack and Emily, though...

Right when Edward said "Marry me" and the screen went dark, I literally cried.

I loved it! Here are some of the things I loved: 1. The special effects were 10 times better. 2. Ashely Greene's performance. She was MUCH more the bubbly, lively Alice that I pictured from reading the books than she was in the first movie. I love the part where she jumps over the railing in the school. Very Alice-like. biggrin 3. Victoria was FANTASTIC. I like how they made her hair more vibrantly red. It's much more how I pictured it than it was in the first movie. When I first heard that they were replacing her for Eclipse, I kind of didn't care, but after seeing her performance in this one, I'm sad to see her go. sad 4. The vampires' eyes are MUCH better in this one compared to Twilight. 5. The few lines that Jasper and Emmett had were pretty funny.
Emmett: Dating an older woman. Nice. Edward: *stares at him* Emmett (confused): What?
rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl
My favorite line had to be Jacob's, though: "What a marshmallow!" Hahahaha rofl
A few things I was disappointed with: 1. The lack of comedy from the human characters. I felt like in Twilight, they had SO many funny scenes, some of the best in the movie, and in New Moon, while they had some of the more lighthearted scenes, they didn't make me laugh like in Twilight. 2. Kristen Stewart's acting. I'll admit that it was marginally better than in Twilight, but it's still - there's no other word for it - dreadful. I really wish they would have cast someone else. I think, if they had known how huge of a franchise this would turn out to be, they would have. 3. The times when it jumped around too much. Someone who hadn't read the book probably would have been a little confused at some points. 4. Carlisle believes that vampires are damned? I thought only Edward believed that for sure, and Carlisle at least hoped they had a chance of being saved.
Overall, though, great movie! I'm going to see it again next weekend. xd

Bella's stare. " Nevermind." Those were funny quotes as well.

New Moon was a way better quality than when they made Twilight. I was so happy that it was so good.
Though, I think I am going to have to go see it again. There were a bunch of pre-teens sitting in front of me who wouldn't shut the hell up. There was this boy who kept making comments during the movie. There were those parts where Jacob and Bella look like they're about to kiss, the kid kept yelling, "Don't do it! Don't do it!"
I was the only one who was ballsy enough to keep tell the kid to shut up. Everyone else just shhing. I said shut more times than I can count on my fingers. Most of the audience member were just as rude, as well. I wasn't pleased. confused

Queen-of-the-Rogue, I liked those quotes, too. xd
I guess I was lucky that there weren't that many out-of-control people in the audience when I went to see it. There were some gasps and some subdued squealing when Jacob took his shirt off to clean up Bella's blood, and a collective groan went up when the phone rang right when Bella and Jacob were about to kiss, but that was about it. I was expecting it to be a lot worse, honestly. I'm glad it wasn't.
Pubic Genital Lice, I would have demanded a refund if I were you, or at least filed a complaint. There are supposed to be ushers around to escort unruly viewers from the theatre. If people start demanding refunds, then maybe the theatre will be more inclined to stop incidents like that from happening again.
But then again, at least now you have a legitimate excuse to go see it a second time. wink

I love both the movies, but I kind of don't get all the comments (not just on this thread, but on others as well) that New Moon is so much closer to the book than Twilight. If anything, I think it's the other way around. Twilight followed the book almost exactly, whereas New Moon, while it followed the book pretty closely, had a bunch of stuff that was different.
Examples: 1. The Volturi fight scene 2. Victoria killing Harry Clearwater 3. Bella and Jake stopped riding the bikes after only one try. 4. Bella actually got on the back of the biker dude's motorcycle and rode around with him. 5. Bella e-mailed Alice all the time (Don't get me wrong, I loved this change, but I'm just saying, it's different from the book.) 6. The werewolves had tattoos.
And the list goes on.
Would anyone who thinks New Moon sticks closer to the book care to say why they think this? I'm just curious, and wondering if I'm missing something totally obvious, since I've seen so many people say this.
