My son is like 7 months right now and can say moma and dada. He has about 7 teeth right now and boy can he teething. What I don't understand is that he is gringing his teeth right now. Why is he doing this?

He may just like the way it feels. It's a new sensation, and he's probably still interested in the way his new teeth feel. It's usually nothing to worry about unless he's really going to town and it's causing damage to the teeth.
