My thanks to ophichius for making this list of requirements.

This thread will be dedicated to discussing the resources and planning that will be needed to pull off this modern feat of logistics.

The goal: To get as many members of the C&T in one place at one time.

The Obstacles: Work, Parents, and of course Money.

If your interested in going I'd need you to pm me with your location so that when we decide on a city I will be able to figure out things like:

Airfair
Transportation
Your ETA
Special Requirements (Are you handicapped or allergic to something.

From these I would like to be able to figure out the following:

Date/Time
Location
Duration
Fees? If so, how much?
Capacity of Location: #People
Capacity of Location: Bathrooms
Capacity of Location: Sleeping quarters.
Capacity of Location: Food storage.
Capacity of Location: Power. (Needs to be fairly robust I would imagine.)
Capacity of Location: Transportation.
Planning Convoys? Do we help with that or is planning left to the convy participants?
Special Requirements (Are people allergic to things, do they have special food requirements?)
Planned Activities.
Unplanned Activities.
Covertly Planned Activities.
Unplanned Covert Activities.

(*Note although their not set in stone I was thinking either Houston, Texas or NewYork NewYork would be grand.

Hehehehehe.... Or better yet.... We can have OTHER people do the planning for us! Interested? Read onward!

Just to use Phoenix as an example (you know, since I live here... At least, until I get my orders... Heh...), there are probably about 5 big science fiction/gaming conventions held here every year... Which pretty much takes care of location, duration, and it will reduce fees for hotel stay if you pre-register for the pertaining convention. So, leeching off these fellows takes care of most of the issues, other than "hey, will I be there?"

Hey, I'd say that this way is the best for feigning organization. Anyone else?

Plus, as I mentioned in a previous thread on this, 2006 is too far in the future for most of us to commit.

Well, Phoenix was just an example. With a city like Houston, there's bound to be a convention of some sort. Anyway, while I would relly like to go, I'm not sure that I'll have enough leave of worked up by then to do so...

As Ki said. A lot can happen between now and 2006, Even if we have the money now, we might not then. Maybe we should aim for something a little closer? Maybe 6 months from now? I know that Anime Expo is coming up in July? That is being held in California, Anaheim. But i'm sure there are bound to be others. o:

There is also always Orlando. I know of 2 conventions that are heald there yearly that are very large. Also, hotel costs and junk will be reduced as well. Plus, Orlando always has flights going to it from major US cities for CHEAP. For the non-US regs, I don't know what to say sweatdrop I am sure you can find flights that are cheap as well.

If Orlando will not work, NY is also extremely workable. In the US, there are also many cheap flights going to NY as well.

This I might be able to do as I will be 17 and will have a car.

I live in Georgia, where AWA is. Yey. AWA's back yard.
Anyway. I have easy access to New York because of relatives. Not sure about Orlando, just for a con.

Even though I'm 17, my parents are still really restrictive.
However, I'll be moving to Oklahoma in January.
So then I'll bei n the middle of nowhere. xD

I really want to go somewhere with some of you though.
I want to see the surprize on all your faces when you see me. xD

For those who don't peep the journals.

Anime Expo is happening June 30th - July 4th in Anaheim California.
There wil be a gaia booth, and we've got 14 mods coming so far. (maybe more.) Yours truly will also be there. If any C&T members are thinking about a trip to cali, or live in cali, come on by and say Hi.
