As all of you know, the new Thirty Seconds to Mars album, This Is War, is dropping tomorrow. However, being the bad person that I am, I downloaded the album today [( http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/143786821/This+Is+War?tab=summary) don't worry, I'm still going to buy the album when I have money] and I know that a lot of people have been listening to it online, as well. This will be the thread for us to discuss the album, its sound, and what we like and dislike about it, as well as ideas for music videos and touring. THE WAR IS HERE. Provehito In Altum Rebecca

Personally, I think that the new album is just fantastic. It has a nice, rich sound, and even though it's really different from the previous two Thirty albums, I couldn't really care less. It's intriguing and engaging, with really interesting lyrics, instrumentals, and vocals. It's refreshing and beautiful.
I just can't get over how much I love this album.

I have to say that the new direction they are taking in their music is refreshing
Although I do like the sound of their first album the best,it's good to see how versatile they can be with their music
the album is not bad; not my personal fave of all three records, but still amazing

The synthesizers are my favorite part. They're just so epic and amazing. And everyone know that anything with a lot of synth is the ********.

I think it sounds really good. And I have been listening to it online too cause i won't have money till thursday haha. I agree too the first will always be my favorite. And I really loved Hurricane even if they sang it with someone like Kayne West.

I have to agree, I love the new cd but the first album is always going to be my fave. From the new one, I'd have to say "Night Of The Hunter" is my fave <3 I haven't heard every single song on the album yet though, i downloaded some songs then ordered the album the 8th from Amazon and my copy is on its way! biggrin
I really hope I find my face on a cover somewhere, either myself in stores or on the Faces Of Mars places that are up. XD

I'd have to say, though, that Stranger In A Strange Land is my favorite. The lyrics are so interesting and I love how Jared's voice sounds on the track. I'm also really obsessed with the lyrics to Escape.

I'm kind of curious as to which song they'll do a music video for next and just what they'll do for the video.
For some reason, it's hard for me to imagine videos for the songs, mostly just because Thirty is so inventive with their videos and it's hard to tell just what they'll do next.
I'm guessing that they'll probably do This Is War next, but I think that Night Of The Hunter or Closer To The Edge would be pretty awesome as music videos.
Or maybe they should just do a huge twelve-part movie for the whole album.
I dunno. Haha.
