Personality: Faen was always an unruly child. He had several periods in his teenage years where he was scolded and beaten, once almost to death, for his rebellious nature. However, over the years he has grown much more reserved and respectful. He is courteous and polite to those who deserve it. But when he gets into an assignment, he knows now where his loyalty lies and knows what he must do.
History: Faen is of European descent. It all started with a Brother by the name of Adham. He was sent to assassinate a templar who was becoming a very infamous slave trader. Adham burst into the house killing all. When he had finished none in the house were alive. As he was leaving, he heard the sound of a babe crying and entered a room to find a small baby lying in a cradle. He did not know what to do. He decided that rather than let him be raised in hate and lies against the truth; he should be brought up in the right. So Adham took the baby from the ravaged home and brought him to Masyaf. There he let the Master decide what to do with the child. The Master gave much thought on the matter and decided that the child would be killed. But Adham pleaded that it could be given a second chance and he would give full responsibility for the child. The Master reluctantly agreed and told Adham that he must be the teacher of the child. He immediately prophesized “This boy will always be an outcast, always wanting to go a different path. You must watch him closely for this child could be a harbinger for destruction on our Brotherhood.” Adham agreed to the terms and began to raise the child naming him Faen for he would never be able to don an Arabic name. Faen always followed his Masters words closely, however when it came to anyone else including the Master of the Brotherhood, he saw no reason to obey. Faen saw Adham as his father and learned much of his style from him. Faen would often run away and cause trouble in the village, such as stealing bread and picking on the other children of the village. Adham would always come to scold Faen, telling him that this was wrong and it was not appropriate. Faen was always curious about his decent as it was by the rules that no one should be able to tell Faen of his Parents or actual decent. Faen grew quickly, always excelling at the skills he was taught, not always the best, but always proficient. Faen eventually was given his first real assignment. His assignment was to kill a small Templar rebellion group just on the outskirts of the village. Faen was able to track them down and found that they were in the process of ransacking a small Saracen village. When Faen saw unspeakable horrors that the Crusaders commited he went into a rage immediately killing every red-cross doned rebel in sight. When Faen finally found the man, Faen thought he had him. But the man was not a fool, he was an excellent fighter. Faen and the man fought for hours when Faen got careless and was gashed open by the mans brutal sword, then brought it down onto his shoulder flat sided, breaking his collarbone. Faen was in mortal danger at this point because of his open wound. The man laughed and grabbed Faen by the shirt. “Don’t you understand, child? You aren’t so different from me! I know who could have been: You could have been a Templar, just like me…” That was all the words he could utter before Faen plunged his hidden blade into the mans throat (This was a worthy feat considering this was with his broken collarbone-arm) Faen was dropped from the dead mans grip. He fell to the ground panting and clutching his wounded chest. The next thing Faen remembered was being picked up by someone, someone dressed in Assassin’s garb, a man with a scar on the mouth and a missing finger. Faen then woke up days later surprised to find himself alive. Faen then was approached by the same Assassin. “You did what was right.” Was what the man said, “Give me your hand.” Faen held out his hand, knowing exactally what this meant. The Assassin pulled out his curved knife and quickly removed half of Faen’s left ring finger. This is a mark of someone who has earned the unmistakable right to wield the Assassins Blade. Faen immediately changed after this harrowing experience of a real kill.(These events happened when he was only 14) Adham Immediately acknowledged Faen’s growth and was very happy to see that he had done the right thing in teaching him. However this was not to last, when Faen turned 15, his Teacher and Guardian, Adham, was killed by a group of Templars. Faen became immediatly boiling with rage. Since this incident (3 months ago), Faen has had many problems with controlling himself. When training with the other students he has lost his control and almost killed several of his fellow peers. Faen has been pressing Al Mualim to let him go after these Templars for these several months now, often losing his temper with the Master and demanding that justice must be served. Faen has now turned 16, this is crucial because now Faen is considered a full adult now. Because of this, Faen now has the leisure to do what its takes to fulfill his goal. How far will Faen go to fulfill his goal?
Likes: He enjoys riding horses, often he was found as a child hiding with the horses and sometimes stealing them to ride through the canyons and ravines around. And finally he enjoys running, whether it be long-distance or short-distance.
Dislikes: He is extremely vengeful against all Templars, often killing them in very brutal ways. This has often earned him punishments: another thing he dislikes…
