I HAVE to get this off my chest. It's been bothering me for the longest time now. SHUT THE ******** UP OBAMA HATERS!!!!! scream That's right, you know who you are!!! mad I'm not saying change your views and automatically become a Democrat but sheesh. Just shuddup. He's doing all he can to end this 2nd Great Depression. And he's doing a damn good job with the war. 1. We can't put up the white flag
Why? That'll make america look bad. C'mon people, when have we EVER given up a war?! Tell me so I can shut up about this reason.
2. Our soldiers are dying people!
And that's a fact, honey. Yeah, if we don't send anymore soldiers over there to help the ones that are already there, they'll all die. ^_^ Simple as that.
3. Nuclear bomb: Lesson learned.
No, Iraq and them are not Japan. If we bomb them, we'll actually get bombed back kiddies. So let's not go making any nuclear bombs and targeting them towards Iraq and all his friends. Cause the all his friends part will wipe America clean off the map, kay?
Like it or not, this is the truth people. You may not like the president but he's still our president so deal with it. xp And let's think about it in a Dane Cook way. Obama has the shittiest job in the world, it's no surprise he hasn't assasinated himself yet... That'll be a historical assasination, right? I'm no Obama hater, but some of your points are sadly inaccurate and don't work. First of all, we HAVE given up a war, and lost at times. 1812 and Vietnam come to mind. And while the economy is on a downslope, this certainly is no "Second Great Depression". The unemployment numbers aren't even close to the first one. This is a recession, not a depression. If it was a depression, it'd be far, far worse.
Second, the ideal that you need to send more soldiers or they'll all die is simply contradictory. Yes, more will die, but not all. I think you are forgetting that soldiers are not like batteries, in the sense that all of them will die eventually in this war, and need to be replaced constantly. There are veterans of several other wars who had survived it from the very first battle to the end.
Thirdly...no, let's not think about it in a Dane Cook way. He's not that funny. Then again, you could have said to think about it in a Carlos Mencia way, and then this whole thing would have gone to nothing.
And last but not least...what is this topic even doing here? I think this should go under the Lounge, where you can put up personal rants. I suggest you move this thread there, it makes more sense.

Hey I LOVE Obama. And I kinda disagree though right now with him keeping the war going hes doing a bad job. x_x Sorry but it's true. Cause as you can see people in America are losing jobs, homes, we're losing money, food and more that I have no idea about and that's all because our MONEY is going out to the war. And in fact those people who are fighting the war, they just dont die to die "hey they can die its ok we have more soliders" no. They have families like we have families. And most of the soldiers fighting America's war out there, their losing their families and their families are losing them. It's sad if you think about how many families lost their loving one because of war.
And so what if we lose this ONE war. Throughout history America has won it's wars and yeah it makes us look good. But we're destroying futures. I probably sound like some preacher. But it's the truth. Why is America fighting this war anyway? Cause apperently I don't know. And Im America, I live in America and I love Obama. But right now he's making the wrong choice by letting this whe live on. Plus Iraq is stupid, bombing places here. retards. Have no better thing to do in their damn life.Besides Most of you people don't care about Iraq families but you care about the United States, your home. So >:Q Let the war be stopped! Make peace <3

I don't think much about politics if it doesn't involve LGBT issues, but I must agree with above post: I think this war is pointless. :/ He's indirectly sending people to their graves. They won't die by his hands, but he sure did help. The salary, the free tuition and all the benefits gained when you're serving the military aren't even worth our lives; you won't even know if you'll live to see one more day. I'd rather live poorly and scrape as much money as I can rather than to die rich. Most of our money is used to fund a war we're not even sure we'll win.
I wouldn't be surprised though, if we're going to be having a third World War this time around. In the Philippines, both religious and political skirmishes are rampant in the south, everyone knows about Afghanistan and of course, Iraq. There might be other places I've not mentioned, but only because I'm not the type to actually look up worldly affairs, but that doesn't mean I don't care though.

Second, I think it's been established that the US has already won the war in Iraq. Seriously, it's practically over, it's been over for two years now. It's mainly just the "protection" part now.

All I can say is even if Obama is not perfect, at least he's seriously working on the problems we're facing and trying to come up with good solutions, so I'm going to cut him some slack. He's got an enormous task ahead of him, and it's not gonna be easy. I may not always agree with some of the decisions he makes ( I really wish we'd work harder on getting our troops home), but by and large, I think he's doing a pretty good job. A lot of people seem to forget how huge of a mess he has to clean up. But I don't claim to be a political expert, so this is just my own opinion.
I'm just glad d**k Cheney isn't our president. O_o

I have one thing to say. If you think you can do a better job than any president, i'd like to see it. half of people who criticize presidents, can never make it that far in their whole life anyway. So sometimes people express their opinion to the point where they can't even do it themselves. I give props to all leaders of America. They work their butt off, and they don't get one THANKS. So, put yourself in their shoes. Do you think you could do better? Or, even get there at all?
