Introduction

*Breaking Eternity refers to the events that precede Missing Eternity. "The Breaking" is the event that brought about the prophecy that the Carrion Man would become so obsessed with.

Herein lies the secret of Eternity and her brother the Ender. How their story grabbed hold of the lives of others, and threw it all into chaos. Herein lies the stories of orphans, caused by the tormented ancestors who quarreled in their supposed "graves."

"Mommy! Mommy! Look!" A little girl with long back hair and golden brown skin ran up to a small asian woman with thick and almost as equally long hair. The young girl held something in her small hands.

"Now what've you got there hm?" The girl's mother smiled and gently untangled the plants that had wrapped themselves around her hands. She held out her hands. "Eranine. Weren't you supposed to be working on your summoning charms?"

"I did! I did!" The little girl smiled and handed her mother the thing in her hands. "See?" She smiled as she revealed a small little thing. It had little black eyes and red bat-like wings, and a small furry body. "Teacher says it's a golem!"

"Good job sweety. How bout you go find it something to eat." Her mother smiled and stood, her daughter's teacher approached her. "She's making progress then.

"She works much faster than her older sister. She's very outgoing." The teacher smiled proudly. "It's a pleasure to teach her. She's much more talented than others her age. And imagine. She's only seven. How's the baby?"

"She's well thank you. Are you done for the day? You can join us for lunch if you like Michael." She smiled at the other man, he was nearly seven feet tall with a mane of silver hair, and dark sparkling eyes.

In a tree a young girl with black hair very similar to the mother and daughter's. She swung her legs silent as she heard the small slight the teacher named Michael had given her. 'Better than her older sister...' huh... she though dryly. Already eight and her sister, younger by eleven months was already considered better.

Her mother waved goodbye to her teacher and walked off with her sister. The teacher Michael turned suddenly and looked up at her. "I'd appreciate it if you didn't skip our sessions Miss Diyesa. I've much to teach you." His tone was strange and she didn't like it, so she just glared back down at him in return. He shrugged. "You'll regret this in the future girl. I'll tell you that." He said and walked away. He ran his fingers along the brim of his hat, nodded to her and left as well.

A woman sits among a great number of cushions on a pale wicker couch. She's pregnant, her eyes are wide and pure white as if clouded over with milk. Yarn and a crochet needle sit abandoned in her lap, her maid sit by her side holding her lady's hand. The woman in the chair took a deep gasping breath, then spoke in a strange hoarse voice.

Two titans, two titans, they turn in their slumber.
Four souls, four souls, trapped in their grasp.
Young toys, young toys, their game to play.
Doom is the blade to cut time's thread.
The History cloth's colors bleed and meld.
Ender's man shall feast on the dead.
Eternity's Daughter shall lead her children to light.
Might the Tower Gods succeed,
In Eternity's hands they shall be.
Might the Corpse Court triumph
Ender shall lay us to rest.
Should both sides realize their goals,
An end like no other, might be witnessed.

With a final breath the Lady blinks and looks at her maid with bright blue eyes. "I'm sorry Ellith. I'm fine now. Hand me a pen please." She said calmly. The maid gave her lady a book and pen, then left the room to get her a glass of water.

A large room at night.

It has three walls, the remaining one merely made of glass doors and windows all of them tightly sealed. Framed perfectly at it's center was a great golden moon in a starry sky that shimmered above a great sparkling lake. Though the peaceful exterior of the room is nonsensical and irrelevant to this scene. A smear of blood upon the glass makes the calm night eerie.

A sick wet sound permeates the perpetually silent room. A squishing noise is made by strange hallow-looking creatures that happily played among a small pile of four corpses.

A tall figure, decidedly male stood in the door way. One of the creatures separated from the rest and crouched by the cloaked figure. "No more heartbeats master..." It spoke, it's voice a macabre quiet rasping that makes one think of something being dragged across a floor. He addressed the dark mysterious man. The man counts the bodies and scowls.

He raises his hands, and a stiff breeze slams through the door behind him, and sweeps through the sealed room. He stands there for a moment, runs his fingers across the brim of his hat, then, satisfied, he leaves. His dark minions follow.

A mist thickens into one spot in a dark corner. There's a pained rasp.

Setting

Earth, before the Eras became mixed together by the happenings that would follow. Though through the actions of the Carrion Man, and the decisions of those around him, it is positive all this would change.

Plot

The Carrion has made his first move. It's still questionable what's motivating him, he seems quite determined to kill everyone and everything that crosses his path.

In Breaking Eternity, Foxxenne and the Carrion Man will gather people around them to help their own goals. The Carrion Man will only gather the strongest and most easily controlled, though there are a few exceptions to that party.

Foxxenne's group will consist of anyone and everyone who has a will to survive. Anyone who doesn't wish the Carrion Man to succeed is welcome. Though she has a strong belief that in order for them to truly be part of the group. They first have to be able to take care of themselves. Because otherwise, she wouldn't be there to save them if they couldn't hold their own.
