Known as the home to a many banker, artist, and smith, Firenze is the rising star of Italy, many nobles calling it home. The infamous Pazzi and Medicii reside here, normally finding their families brawling in the streets, each trying to prove who the better is.

It is here that Lorenze di Medicii calls his home, ally of the assassins. With his guards, if you wear or carry the Medicii flag, they won't trouble you as the Pazzi guards will, though they're a blend with the Medicii. So, if you ever find the Pazzi, be prepared for a fight if you carry the Medicii banner.

A large group of guards rested at a local inn, the large structure housing at least twenty. Their caravans had been camped out front, giving them a clear hold over the area.

Within the inn, in the cellars, two Templars stood, their helmets embroided with a cloth-melded cross, swords in hands and at guard. Between them, on a table, rested the sash of Malik, the emblem on it shining rather brightly.

Only a few guards patrolled the massive amounts of caravans in front of the inn, but this didn't mean they weren't alert. Archers, four on each corner of the inn's roof, watched the narrow passages carefully, ready to cry out a position to others. The many civilians within were all scared or quietly avoiding the Templars throwing a party, the local women being pushed around between them.

Cenere della Fenice

Fenice rode up once again into his hometown. He hadn't been to Firenze for a few years, and he was nervous about it. He was the designated assassin, but he was getting some help from another assassin. He had no idea whom or where he was from. As he got off his horse, he casually wandered towards a tall home outside of the gates. He wasn't sure who lived there, but he climbed up it from the back, so no one could see him. There were a few stares from some civilians, but the house was high enough they just shrugged it off and continued walking. "I'll wait here for whoever it is I need to meet up with." Fenice thought, "But, why do the rest of the assassins insist on calling me Cenere?"

Ricardo's hands gripped the castle edges within the walls in front of Fenice, his soft curses of French giving him away as a guard turned, his call muffled suddenly, the assassin gripping his ankle and pulling him forward, causing his head to slam into the rock with a sick crack before he flipped away into a small, local well below. Pulling himself, he immediately set to looking across the rooftops, almost instantly spotting a figure with a sash holding the Assassin's Guild symbol. Quickly, he moved to grab a bow and arrow from a nearby doorway, lifting it and quickly moving his hand to grab the loose rope hanging down within the walls.

He wasn't an archer, but he fixed the rope around the arrow, quickly moving to produce a bird call, one of a falcon, to alert the assassin before he quickly tied the arrow to rising block on the wall, firing the arrow a moment later, the arrow skidding across the roof, stopping a few feet behind the assassin. Calling over, he made sure to be alert as he did so, unaware of his French teachings filling his voice,
"Hurry, friend, for we have moch-" Grumbling, he shook his head, trying to fix in on his native language, quickly finishing his sentence, "Much to do before the night is over. A man must fall, or none of the states will be safe. Fix the end of the rope to a part on the building and cross. All the main gates are far too hazardous to enter at."

Cenere della Fenice

Fenice nodded to his partner. "Thanks for the tip." He replied, looking around. All that was on this little house was a weather spinner thing, and Fenice knew it wouldn't be strong enough to support his weight and the rope's, let alone two people. "However, even though I agree with your plan, there's nothing here that is strong enough to hold our wieght and the rope's. May I suggest a way in? Oh, and, before we get too far ahead, my name is Cenere della Fenice, but you, my friend, may call me Fenice." He walked to the edge of the roof and looked at the gate. His younger brother was a guard, and, fortunately, he was at tha gate, drinking ale from a dark bottle. "My brother is one of the guards. I used to live here in Firenze. Born here, actually. I'm on good terms with the guards." He explained, hoping the other assassin would get his hint. He glanced at anything nearby and noticed the stables, which had a large pole sticking out of the roof. "And, if you don't think convincing my brother to let us in is a good idea, we could go to the stables and cross over the walls there."

OOC: I hope that's alright. Fenice is a thinker. lol

Ricardo shook his head, "No, we can't alert any guards. No matter what terms you may be on them with, they've been ordered to restrict all movement within tow-" Throwing the bow aside, he climbed onto the wall's edge, hopping down and grabbing the rope, forcing it to come sliding away from the roof, the rope hitting the ground below with a thud. Ricardo, holding on with both hands, waited.

From the gateway's barracks, a man emerged, sword in hand, looking around. He had heard something, yet no one was nearby. After a moment, he turned, heading back in.

Ricardo, not wanting to get his attention any further, slowly lowered himself to the grassy, hard ground below, letting go of the rope once he was within four feet, softly grunting. Looking up, he sighed, whispering to himself, "Why can't I ever have things go my way...? Just once, I wouldn't mind to have something work."

Cenere della Fenice

Fenice shrugged and copied Ricardo's movements. Again, a guard came out, but Fenice was prepared. The guard walked over to where Fenice was hanging. Without a moment's notice, Fenice jabbed his hidden blade into the guard's stomach, grabbed him with the same hand, and flung him down the the grass. Fenice dropped down into the grass, barely missing the guard's corpse, and brushed his hands off. "Precautionary. If the same guard comes out twice, like this one, get him." Fenice explained. He looked around and asked, "You've heard of Ezio Auditore, right? Isn't he from here?"
PostPosted: Sun Jan 10, 2010 10:43 am

Ricardo tugged the rope, making sure it was tightly holding, "The name Auditori rings a bell...yet, I do not know of an Ezio. I have met his uncle, Mario, yet he spoke of a nephew. Sadly, he isn't in Italy. Something about him heading to Spain to stop Borgia..." Quickly, he moved to climb the rope, finishing his sentence, "But that does not mean we can slow our works. We have work to do..."

Already his opinion of the assassin called Fenice was sliding. Unlike most, Ricardo disliked hearing other's strategies, seeing that he had a many of his own from his private teachings in his former life as a young man. Now, in his prime, he was focused on actually accomplishing things that needed to be done. Once at the top of the wall, he moved to the inner edge of the structure, scanning his eyes for the jail. It being the most easy-to-hold area, it would be the location to find Carlos.

Alexander dropped from the rooftop to the cobblestone streets. It was evening now and he had spent almost an hour scouring the streets for crime. (... I feel liek BATMAN!) He had finally spied a guard harrassing a stall owner. Sliding in and out of the shadows, he crept up to where the guard was shouting at a tiny Italian man behind a wooden stall. He put one hand on the guard's shoulder. "Is everything alright here?" The guard released the man by the scruff of his neck and turned. "Mind your own business, b*****d."
Alex tensed at the word and shoved the guard to the side. "If I catch you buggin' anyone around here again, you'll wish you were never born." He pushed the guard, who scrambled from his knees and down the alleyway, and out of sight. Alex sighed, smoothed his caramel hair down and set off down the street towards the docks to enjoy the sunset.

Cenere della Fenice

Fenice shrugged. "Fine. We'll do it your way. However, if we have to escape the guards, follow my lead. I know this place like the back of my hand." He explained, following Ricardo. He also scanned for the jail, wondering if his task would be fulfilled by nightfall.

Teodora arrived from Roma by boat after sneaking on the boat at dusk a few nights ago. she quickly climbed up on the mast and jumped off without anyone noticing, onto a nearby rooftop then jumped down to street level, she put her hood over her up over her head and stood on a wooden dock that that held smaller boats " hmm... so.. this is Florence huh.. this is going to be interesting?" she said walking around the docks

Ricardo moved carefully, finally finding a fourteen foot-wide gap to a nearby building. It was just about eight feet down, as well. It could be done, though it couldn't have any mistakes. Backing up, he quickly did a small prayer, running a mere three feet before thrusting himself upward, his sword shaking lightly as he seemed to glide the city's soft gusts. Lowering his right shoulder slightly, he prepped his knees as he landed on the front, bottom end of his foot, going into a roll, his scimitar slapping softly against the roof as he came to his feet.

After a quick pat at dust and to check his gear, he looked back upward to Fenice, a gesture being made for him to follow, "Hurry...if my bearings are correct, we only need to go a bit further to the west to get a glimpse at the jail." His gaze, turning from the other assassin, moved to his front, moving toward the peak of the rooftop, only slowing to a stop to wait until he heard the sound of Fenice landing. At least, he hoped the younger one could make it. If not, he may have to drop the mission to help save Fenice's life.

Cenere della Fenice

Fenice followed, barely making the leap across the building that Ricardo jumped across. He grabbed the edge of the roof as he started to fall. He hoisted himself up and followed Ricardo, hoping that he would make the jumps this assassin made, even though Fenice performed the Leap of Faith off of the tallest point in Firenze. If they had completed the mission without failure, Fenice decided he would go and leap off of the building again. He liked the thrill it brought.
PostPosted: Tue Jan 19, 2010 4:46 pm

Ricardo turned, watching the younger assassin for a moment, softy shaking his head before he turned and took off. Most of the jumps, from there on, were only a few yards wide, easily allowing them both to move rather fast. The jail, only a few hundred yards ahead, seemed to have little activity. Obviously Carlos had dispatched them to kill the mercenaries working for the assassins.

They would have to make a plan, though, since they neared it every moment. Ricardo slowed as they reached only a equal sixty yars away, looking back to Fenice,
"So then, do you have any ideas, or will we have to use mine? I figure, since you're from here, you have a better idea of the city layout than I do..."

Cenere della Fenice

Fenice slowed and walked to the edge of the roof they were on. "Actually, yes, I do. There's an emergency exit on the roof in case of an emergency. They keep it locked, but I have snuck in on multiple occasions, slipping out a mercenary or, and I didn't know this, other assassins, by picking the lock with my hidden blade. It's easy really. You just shove it in like you would a Templar's throat," He extended his hidden blade with a satisfying shink, "twist it just a little bit, and bingo. You've got an all access pass into the jail's storeroom." He turned around and faced Ricardo, "It's a restricted area, and there are many places to hide. We will have to climb up the jail wall from the back, and during the day, because the worst convicts don't even try to escape at night. The storeroom is on the first floor and, if we're lucky, there will be some extra uniforms in there. Unless we can rob some of the Pazzi's clothes, which I have done but do not keep on me..."

((lol...I gave this a lot of thought. This would so be something I would do if I was on this mission...lol))
