California

California was among the first of the states to go when the Epidemic hit the U.S. It did not happen immediately, but it did happen surprisingly quickly. The last anyone heard, there were still units of the Marine Corps in Sacremento awaiting reinforcements from the sea, a carrier group, called in to help maintain order. Then silence. The entire state stopped communicating with the outside world.

California is the most populous and the most geographically diverse state in the nation. It has big cities, small towns, mountains, vallies, forests, deserts, and a long coastline. In the middle of the state lies the California Central Valley, bounded on all sides by mountains. The Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta separates the valley into the Sacramento Valley in the north and the San Joaquin Valley in the south. The Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta serves as a critical water supply hub for the state, although without people to manage the extensive network of canals and pumps water out of the delta, its reach has suffered tremendously.

He began running down the street as the zombie horde followed quickly. He shot his shotgun twice and continued running. He found a relatively safe house, locks the door and reloads.

As she stepped out onto the street, she lit up a cigarette and waved to her sister who was sitting in the Jeep across the street waiting on her. Rayde smiled and continued on to the next building. So far, no survivors she thought to herself. It's been like this in every town, city, village, whatever always the same. Always hundreds of these undead bastards and none of the living left. Rarely... rarely any of the living left, she corrected herself. As she finished up checking the house she looked outside the window as her sister managed to use five shots to kill one of those things . Then Rayde saw a car come flying down the road, a woman with her dog it looked like.Rayde's brother charlie tried to flag the woman down but she must not have been paying attention.That's when she heard it, the screams of a survivor! Along with the sounds of hundreds of those damn dead things, but a survivor! She and Charlie jumped into the Jeep and readied themselves for a fight. She was going to save this one, she thought, if it was the last thing she did...

-she nearly slam on her breaks as she saw ppl- woah! -she turned her car around and drove back driving up next to the ppl and rover barked trying to get out-

Seeing the first signs of the horde coming from an alley way up the street, Rayde heard a sqeal of tires behind her and turned her attention to the sound. It was the woman and her dog. Rayde shouted to the woman as she charged her weapon, "Are you armed? If so give us a hand, if not stay in your car! We have some work to do!" At that moment the young man came running around the corner, the horde right behind him...

-she looked and smiled at the zombies taking out her gun- yes!action time -she pulled herself out of the window and on to the roof of her car- ready when u are

Looking out a window he saw what seemed to be survivors conversing. So he headed out and yelled "HEY" and they looked back. He saw a woman with a dog and a couple others. Than he looked down the street and pulled out his shot-gun.

Dan than radioed his only remaining friend Robert and Robert drove in on a car they found in Seattle. The two had mounted guns on the sides to make it fortified and the two began talking.
Soon after Dan yelled "Lets go!!!" He got in the drivers seat looked at the others and waited for them. As he waited Robert was in the back on the 30. cal machine gun shooting zombies.
Dan said "You Guys Ready?" and revved up his car engine.

As Rayde stepped out of her Jeep she flicked her cigarette to the ground and looked around, Wow, there's a lot more survivors in this city than in most, she thought to herself, all the better... She readied her weapn and look to her brother and sister standing in the wrangler as they did the same and began to open fire into the horde hoping the other srvivors would do the same. She grinned as the rounds from her MP5 dropped those damned dead things one after another...

Dan looks over to Rayde and smiles. Than yells "DUDE LETS GO"

Rayde reloads and looks to her brother, Charlie, to make sure that the two in her Jeep were still in the fight. She then again focused her attention to the Horde, whose numbers were diminishing with a quickness as the steady stream of firepower from the survivors rained into them. The undead kept pushing forward. They were almost overtaking the survivors. Rayde couldn't let that happen, she'd fought to hard to help others for too long. She then decided to do something a bit rash. Rayde then slung her MP5 across her back and pulled her machete out of its sheath on her leg and leapt into the fray as the undead moved ever so close to her family members in the Jeep. Even this amount of firepower wasn't stopping them... As Rayde ran into the battle, she issued a loud war cry, hoping that it would inspire those around her to push on....

Dan would not leave without her. He turned his car into the horde and cut off the zombies heads as he drove past. Robert was in the back shooting every zombie in sight. As Dan looked for Rayde He began growing sad that he couldn't find her.

Gritting her teeth as she hacked her wayt through the horde she heard the sounds of a car behind her. She wasa determined to make it through this . Rayde ducked uner the swinging arms of the undead, cutting and slashing as she danced her way through the crowd. By this time she was covered in the disgusting stinking flesh of the undead. Rayde shouted another load terrifying scream as she continued blazing a path through those dead things she hated so much. They probably would have been scared of her if they had been living....
