  This needs to be done fast before the date for our anniversary passes, so let's just get right to the key points. theme? do we wanna choose something totally random and just run with it? or choose something guild appropriate. any and all suggestions for theme will be considered! :3 Location? surrogate guild or main forums? i've got a test guild we can use if need be as do others i'm sure. date? how long should it last, what days specifically? prizes? what do we have in the guild funds? i can donate some stuff if we're low, donations are always welcome from anyone who wants to help. Should we keep everything prize-wise on gamemaster or move it to admin? contests? what are we going to give out prizes for? should we do a bunch of crew run things or should we "sponsor" threads by lending prizes for user run events? Should we bring some of this discussion to the guild at large? answers to all this an more in YOUR replies! Let's get on this, people.

Theme - Themes are fun. I think guild appropriate would be a good one for this year. Dead...something. The other day I REALLY wanted to do a dead pirate theme, but then I got over it xd Maybe we could do a pirates vs. ninjas theme? Or this year we've done like a MILLION tea party-esque things so it could be a tea party theme, unless thats too overdone.
Location - I think parties are better out of the guild, because in the guild it just feels like any other day D: Outside of the guild imo feels more special. If we use psycho mintz I'll be able to send out invites to all the old SGers who are in that guild, but not in this one.
Date - Jan 30 - Feb 1? Sat - Mon? OR maybe just Sun - Mon. Parties that go too long are lame.
Prizes - I dont know what guild funds we have XD But I can donate gold if its needed. I dont know the crew mules /fail so I dont know where the prizes should be.
Contests - I like the idea of sponsoring threads! That will give guild members a chance to be involved and run their own things. Maybe we should also have a crew contest as well, just to make sure there is a contest.
I think we should bring some of our descisions to the guild. I think the theme is something they should choose. Maybe we could make a thread and have them suggest themes, then do a poll so they can vote on their fave. It has to be a pretty fast thing though, since we only have two weeks.

Theme - no idea. Maybe just block party? or the theme is "we're having another anniversary"?
Place - Psycho Mintz seems fine. Unless you're okay with cleaning up the guild or making a subforum into a party spot.
Date - nymphie's sounds fine
Prizes - We could have the kroo go bootygrabbing for cash for prizes if we need.
Contests - ask guild. I think games are more interesting than "first to 100 pages" or "avatar contest"

Theme - random fun always seemed to work, themes take too much work depending on how detailed you get.
Outside the guild seems to get more attention like Nymphie says.
Date - 2 days and for specifics not sure yet
Prizes - no idea
Contests - I say let users run as many as they want with whatever theme they want... within reason.
And yes we should take this to the guild soon.

Place - I'd be good with Psycho Mintz, since it would keep clutter out of this guild but not let the riff-raff in. D:<
Date - Sat to Mon sounds good.
Prizes - This depends on whether the crew is officially running contests, right? We could ask for donations, but what would we be giving out prizes for?
Contests - Ask people to run their own things. Crew can run things, but not as crew, just as "hey I wanna run a thing." We could, if we have a prize fund, provide prizes? That way it wouldn't be more work for crew but there'd still be prizes! Have people say they're going to run things before it starts.
Bring it to the guild to at least ask in advance who wants to run contests and stuffs so that things aren't starting on the last day of the party or something.

ok so gamemaster has 58,068 cash, lamp of Bishr, Feb 09 letter, & Repo Lamp. I'm going to send 300k to him right now for funding which will total 358,068g. I like ninjas vs. pirates for a theme :3 As far as themes go, I don't think it has to be too intense like masquerade was supposed to be, but just something like ninjas vs. pirates, zombies, snipers, naked, etc. will let people have fun with it and give us contest themes to work with as well. So I think we'd benefit from a theme of some sort. If everyone agrees on that, I'll put up a thread asking for input for themes. Did you want to run a small contest/poll for that? Or are we too short on time for that? As far as contests go, I really like the idea of sponsoring people. Our funds are kind of limited though, did you want to have a thread for people to sign up to run threads of their own? Or somewhere for them to request prize grants from the guild treasury? If so, what criteria should we use for the grants? Do we just hand out the prize grant to the winner or do we hand it out to the user running the thread? as far as location.. does psycho mintz still have stuff from the previous parties in it? xD because it might be awesome to open them up as read-only archives of our celebration history? since it's the anniversary and such? iunno. thoughts? aand date, i'm thinking a weekend would be good but iunno what dates would be good. Feb 1 is when the thread was first created in the GCD so maybe 29-1? 30-1? 30-2? 31-2? xD i don't know.

We've got plenty of time, we could run a short poll on the theme. Ask for some suggestions and then vote. I'd like to suggest cowboys, because that's the side I pick between ninjas and pirates.
And I guess we'd have people apply for prizes, and then give whoever's running the contest/game/whatever the prize to distribute himself. I think most people are probably trustworthy, and it'd make prizes get out faster. Depending on how many we get, maybe 20k per contest, maybe more if they're having multiple places/prizes.
We could also ask for donations for prizes to increase funds?

I AGREE WITH HELP smile Ask for theme suggestions, then a short poll, have people apply for prizes and give them to the contest runners themselves to hand them out, and NINJAS VS PIRATES VS COWBOYS ;D

threw up a poll, looks like naked is popular but we'll see what happens if the poll gets traffic. in the meantime, i'm going to set up a thread for user-run events to let us know what'll be going on and who needs prize help. only guild members can ask for prize sponsors, but people from outside the guild are welcome to run threads as long as they supply their own prize.

I'll be around some on the weekend to help out if this ice storm thats coming here doesn't wipe out power, like all the scared people are saying.
Also maybe another banner thread contest to promote the guild and game, but a quick one. =D
I'll probably do the prize on that one since its also for the game and guild funds can be used for others who want to hold contests.

Yep, party is this Saturday and Sunday. But we should send out the announcements tonight and have things set up and started by then.
Also the party is going to be in Psycho mintz, the old side guild we had when we were still a thread game. 3nodding
