Quick Story: Born in Italy, raised by Italian father and German mother. One sibling, a younger brother, died in a fire(more on this later). Father was a welder. Mother killed during mugging. Tracked down muggers and killed them. Sought after by police. Said goodbyes to Father and ran away to China. Super depressed with little money and little to no possessions. Goes to Pavilion to clear head. Some dude gives him a flower, tells him if he feeds it his feelings and sob stories through incense, it'll grow or something. Super poor. Trades last of his valuables to obtain dried dates. Only thing appetizing that he can afford. Makes tea from them and drinks next to flower. Now only has dried dates. Dried dates for meal for several days. Burns some as incense. Give up on life. Go back to Pavilion. Fall into pond with flower in hand. Flower starts grabbing at his head with roots like it's freaking out or something. s**t starts glowing and he pops up with some kid clinging to his head. Somehow kid's glasses stayed on his face while in water. Haus can't find flower. Even while wet, Haus smells dates from kid and realizes, 'oh, s**t, it's the flower'.

Hope ::
You have acquired a pretty little Lotus flower from a creepy mysterious person! He tells you that it feeds on wishes, hopes,and other wispy things, such as incense, not water. The incense smell will always be following you around now, so pick a scent you like. It also glows and makes a nice nightlight. Whatever those light orbs are, they don't seem to be fireflies after all...

Purity ::
Somehow, the Lotus has turned into a cute child that smells faintly of the incense you were using. The child is a blank slate, and remembers nothing (or nearly nothing) of life before you. By the way the child is asexual.

After interacting with other people (RPs) your child grows up and (possibly) decides on a gender. Due to the circumstances of their birth they cannot age any further, but they will look pretty forever.

Haus used to have a little brother, Giuliano. Through a minor fault of his own, Haus lost his younger brother in a fire. He used to think about him all the time, but as he became older and life became harsher, other things came into focus and the amount of thought dedicated to his beloved brother dwindled and faded to little.

After a long struggle and a vengeance paid in full at the cost of his freedom, Haus escapes to China. There he comes across a stranger who blesses him with a gift of companionship in the form of a small lotus child who he named Dante(meaning "lasting", "durable" in hopes that Dante will last longer by his side than others have).

Having Dante as a traveling companion, Haus begins to share stories of his past at times when Dante(or Haus, as neither of them slept very much) had trouble falling asleep. When the stories of adventures with Giuliano came up occasionally - although Haus didn't seem to like to bring it up often enough for Dante - he wished that he could have met Giuliano while he was still alive. With affections for Haus growing as each day passes, Dante realized how sadden Haus became every time Dante would request a story about Giuliano. In order to upset Haus no longer, Dante decided he would keep a journal - more like a collection of letters that some day, somehow he would deliver to Giuliano.

Dante would begin his daily entry with a greeting to Giuliano and would end it with a sweet farewell and a promise of a next letter.
