Well now that the site is starting to grow, I think its time I started asking the guild for help with promotion. I received a mail back from a friend of mine that said he was not shore if he should join because he had never played project diva.

This is a guild that in original concept is dedicated to the game but its also a fact that the game is a Japanese title and not many people would have played it. Plus, not every member has played it. Most of us are people who just want to play the game or just fans of vocaloid which is perfectly fine.

Anyway, so far all the promotion for the guild has been directed at my friends but I do think that before we start going really public more thought needs to be put into how we present ourselves. After all, if people are not joining solely because they have never played project diva then we really have narrowed down the number of people who will join to a very small number. In other words how can we expand our area of interest with out changing the goals of the guild to greatly?

That sparks an idea.

"Do you like video games, Vocaloid, or even just pop anime music? Join Project DIVA"

What do you think? Do you think that would be a winning slogan?

It short and I think it hits a few nails as to what the guild is about. Of course it might be missing something important that I'm not thinking of.

As of right now I only have a half backed slogan I tried in my signature a little while ago.

"Join the new guild dedicated to the game Project DIVA' Obviously this slogan is inadequate other wise there would be no need for this thread.

Well, I think its time we started thinking about turning the front page into something that is actually marketable. Right now it kind of says stuff about this being a new guild but being new expires over time and I think its time that we started to change it. I know only a captain or vice can edit the front page but I would like some ideas from everyone.

Plus, no one has told me what they think about the last addition I was thinking about for our slogan. The slogan is a must for our front page and must be front and center in large letters so people see it quickly. After all people who wander into this site must know what we are about quickly or they will pass us by without realizing that this guild might just be up there ally.

I was also wondering if it is possible to change to background or if it is stuck being white. I think it is stuck as white as every guild I have been to looks the same this way. I can work with White as the game cover uses white but I really am a green person.

I think were forced with a white bg as every guild is using it. If so lets color the lettering to match the box art. Black is used by every guild and is boring. However, the colors must be visible. (Light colors like yellow are hard to see on white) If we use hard to see pallets then people just skimming by will pass by the words and not read them.

Also, maybe instead of 2 Project diva logos beside the pick of Miku we could add a SEGA logo on the right side if we can get one the same size. I Know photobucket has tools to resize an image as I used them once for my current icon on youtube. After all the game was produced by SEGA but them we might lose the symmetry effect. We meay even want to consider a crypton logo.

Plus I think it should be noted that are main rules for members is solely right now to fallow the gaia TOS and there are no special extra requirements to be in the guild. I was thinking of changing the words gaia TOS into a hyperlink rather then just posting the url as it would save space and probably look better. In some ways less is more. No

I also thought we should keep the part about auto accepting but it may need to be said in fewer words and should promote how "free and easy" as Richy would put it to join. We want to tempt people into pushing that butten.

You know something like just click the "join guild button" to get pople to click it. Or must click button or something.

(I decided to edit this post to note that join guild buttons appear orange when your not a member. so I guess "just push the orange join guild button to your top right" would be the saying)

As you can see I have a lot of questions and ideas. This is how my random thought process works while looking at what we have now. Normally, I would just go ahead and do this stuff but this area is not like my youtube channel. I feel I must consult the guild before I try things like this. What do you all think. Do you have any ideas for the front page or see any problems with my thought process.

something I noticed that I thought I would post from my observation of the official site was that I noticed that in one of the flash images the words (amazon.co.jp best of 2009) I think this means this game got an award so I typed this into a Google search. I got this information.

what I learned is that this was the 5th best selling game on amazon Japanese site last year. Is that not cool or what.

Though I would do some extra research on the top selling games of last year. these are the titles. Notice from project diva on up I learned what systems each game was for. This proves that Project diva was amazon japans top selling PSP game of last year. I thought this might be interesting for people to know.
