I have been silent for a while to see if anyone else would respond as I really did kind of wanted this area to be unbiased. However, I never really thought of what would happen if people responded to this tread. Next time we have a vote we will have a separate discussion area to avoid this problem as we can't change it now. Deleting the above post would be considered quieting someone and I don't want that ether.
Anyway, now that I have had some time to think about this, I reluctantly thought I should finally post my rebuttal to his argument. I was staying quite for so long mainly because I really didn't want to feel like I was staking the poll booth. However, I now have had to admit to myself that the damage has already been done so I may as well give my counter argument anyway.
I thought I should point out that racial and insulting comments are covered under TOS and being just plain
rude could be a violation of section 4q.
Quote:
4.Prohibited Conduct -- BY USING GAIA ONLINE YOU AGREE not TO:
Quote:
b. send, post, or make available pornographic, threatening, embarrassing, hateful,
racially or ethnically insulting, deceptive, tortious, defamatory, libelous, or otherwise inappropriate or offensive content to other Gaia Members
Section 4q of the TOS says something about fallowing the Rules and Guidelines and in section 3 of Rules and Guidelines well read for yourself.
Quote:
q. engage in any other conduct prohibited by our Rules and Guidelines.
Quote:
Be Courteous: Please be civil and courteous towards your fellow Gaians. We have a very liberal policy regarding language, but overly abusive language is not permitted. If your post is excessively vulgar, insulting, explicit, or hateful, it may be removed and disciplinary actions may be taken on your account(s)
If someone where obsessively
rude I could hit them by saying there not fallowing section 4 q of the tos by being un-courteous. Though I will admit this is a little round about. I would only do this if a member was becoming a huge problem this way and bringing the guild down as you said.
Also, the
boom gone idea really relates to the other voting topic. This could still pass and 3 strike could fail or vise verse, there is still plenty of time for you all to be heard as the poll was set to be open for a full mouth (30 days) originally to inshore that all members that want to be heard would have the chance to vote.
