Antony spent Saturday mornings alone. Not that he planned on always doing so, with a little brother he could torment into going running with him, but for now, he was content to jog through the park with no one around. It was a pretty day, a bit brisk, but that was good for running, and he had gotten his pace down perfectly after so long at running.
The sound of his tennis shoes hitting the ground was barely noticeable as he let his mind wander. The bench where he took a break was ahead, and he pulled to a stop, stretching a bit before sitting down and pulling out his water bottle.

Presently, Julie was out for a little big of an "expedition" as she was calling it. She'd sneaked out of the house during naptime and had wandered away in search of pebbles, rocks, and other odds and ends. The imps mother was going to flip out when she discovered the tot had slipped off, but for now, Julie could wander by herself and enjoy her search.
Halfway along the way, the little girl spotted someone she hadn't noticed much before. She didn't walk over this way very much and had never seen him before. But with a bright smile, the angellic imp toddled over to meet him.
"Hello there." she greeted the older boy, watching him drink his water and trying to see if it was the kind with the deer on it or not. Her mother didn't buy packaged water, but when they were in the store, Julie always noticed the deer water.

It didn't. It was one of those reuseable plastic blue bottles with the flip lids. He had filled it at home, then again at a nearby water fountain. With a slight smile he put the bottle down to greet her. "Good morning," he said. "I'm assuming that you aren't here with your parents?"

Julie nodded a bit, "Nope. Mommy's working and I went for a walk at naptime." she explained, showing him the bag of odds and ends - mostly shiny rocks - she'd collected. "I went to look for stuff for my collection. What're you doing out?"

"Very pretty," he said, looking at the shinies. "I'm going for a run. This is the best place to do that." Now he really needed to get her home, otherwise there would be a panicking mother somewhere calling the cops to chase down her little girl's kidnapper.
"Do you think your mommy would like to see them?" he asked her. "We can go show her."

Julie thought for a bit before nodding. "Yes. I thinks I got enough. I wanna put them with my spatulas." she agreed.
"Running's fun. I can't do it much though. I have bird feet and I trip on them a lot." the toddler explained with a firm nod.

"That makes a lot of sense," he said as he stood. "Now why don't we go show the shiny things to your mommy and put them with your... spatulas?" he said, only skipping one beat at that. She collected spatulas. Ohhhkay. Well, he had heard of stranger hobbies.
Maybe.

Julie nodded emphatically and looked around, suddenly realizing something for the very first time. She turned around to look at Anthony again with a sheepish blush. "I don't know where we are." she said, toeing the ground with one shoe and looking at it.

"Okay," he said, thinking for a second. "Which way did you come from?" he asked. "Do you know?"

The girl shook her head. She felt bad now - the imp hadn't quite been looking where she was going and had just wandered away. "No."
Quite suddenly she remembered something, brightening at that. "But I know my address!" she said proudly, telling him where she lived. After all, Mommy's tattoo parlor was easy to find.

He let out an inward sigh of relief, smiling as he pulled a piece of paper from his bag and wrote the address down. "Then shall we go there?" he asked gallantly, offering the little girl his hand. "Before your mommy realizes that you went for a little walk instead of taking a nap?"

"Sure!" she agreed brightly, taking Antony's hand with a huge smile on her face. He was nice! And super charming too! Like Howl was!

He walked slowly towards the town, her little hand in his, the note with her address in the other hand. Yeah, he thought, he was going to drag his little brother on the next run. Then he could force Dante to do the rescuing of tiny damsels for him.
Then again, Antony realized, Dante probably wouldn't do it, even if he was here.

The tattoo parlor was easy enough to find and, thankfully, Julie's mom hadn't had a moment off to go and find out that her daughter had wandered away.
"Thanks a ton for bringing her back. I had no idea she'd even left, her brother was supposed to be watching them." she said, sighing in relief and picking up her daughter, patting the kid's head wings. "I'll have to have a talk with Julie about not wandering off on her own or harassing strangers."

"No, it was nice to have someone to talk to," Antony said with an easy smile. "And she's got some shinies she wants to show you. Now I need to get going." He smiled at the little girl. "Bye," he said before turning and jogging away.
His schedule was off by twenty minutes thanks to that. But oh well. At least she hadn't messed with his hair like Carmel always tried to do.
