Sure, if you like dying yourself.
I'd imagine that if you managed build a small house with a hydro-generator fed by a small spring on a small oasis then you'd be fine, but that's about it. You'd have to find some way to get a steady source of food. Deserts aren't known for their innumerable amounts of sources for nutrition

I'd imagine that if you managed build a small house with a hydro-generator fed by a small spring on a small oasis then you'd be fine, but that's about it. You'd have to find some way to get a steady source of food. Deserts aren't known for their innumerable amounts of sources for nutrition Depends on the desert. Plenty of critters to eat out here, but not all that much by way of plants. The only really EDIBLE thing that comes to mind is mesquite beans. When boiled silly, they're slightly sweet and very wheat-y. When it comes to critters, you can eat anything from a deer to a rattlesnake, depending on how desperate you are. Rattlesnake isn't too bad, either. Bland though. Most reptiles are.
