well, everyones pets have a name rigth? so i decided to make a discussion about it :3
So, whydoes your rat have that name? what inspired you?
My rats names are following
Ezekiel ( ezi ) - I changed her name, in the beginning the breeder named her Pandora. I didnt want it cause my moms dog has the same name, so i changed it :3
Akasha - Akasha is Ezi's sister, both her and her sister ( while she still ha d her name pandora) was named after vampired from books. I kept her name cause i liked it :3
Hypno and Haze - I think they were named after drugs? I kept the names the breeder gave them cause I thougth it was kinda neat names ;3 sure the source of the names aint that cool razz
Early Girl and Bella Caio - Sisters of Haze and hypno, I dont know if theirs are asweill drug names but I dont think so since my breeder told me she named early girl early girl cause she as always up first ;3 These days i call those to ' the little ones' since they are so alike. Only diffrence is that one of them is a bit slimmer ^^;

Fizz - She is the color of champagne and champagne is fizzy. I was gonna call her 'Bubbles', but someone in my rat group had a rat by that name and I didn't want to copy.
Spice - She was the same color as the allspice I had just bought.
Momo - She is a hairless, but still has a little peach fuzz in places... and momo is Japanese for peach.
Monster - She is the largest female rat I have ever seen. She was even an enormous baby.
Nico and Obi Wan... well someone else named them, so I don't know the reason. I adopted them from a girl that had to move to another continent and couldn't take them.

pickles- just popped into my head and he is is hard to get out of his cage/container like a pickle
zeus- my sister wanted a rat named after a god
sprocket- his name popped into my head on my drive home from work one night
newton- defied gravity on the way home from the pet shop so the fiance named him. he also walks up side down around the cage and hangs from the top

Okay,I have a white polar bear hamster and his name is.....GRINGO!!!!
Yes,I named him gringo!
In spanish Gringo means "White Person" and I have white hamster! XD
Hope dont get mad at me! XP

Bridget ( ... I don't know why, but it just stuck)

Both boys will be neutered
London Fog (I might be changing her name. I just can't come up with one I like.)
Bali and Berlin(I'm still trying to find a home for these two.)

Both of mine were Naruto names because my sis and I liked Naruto. mrgreen
Tamari- Because she was a tan hooded rat.
Hinata- Because she was a black capped rat.

I've got two hairless ratties, so I named them after how they acted :3
Dorothy is a real sweet name, and when I got Dorothy she loved to cuddle with me and trusted me nearly instantly.
Gidget was a bit jumpier and fiesty, and I've always thought Gidget was a cute name for someone crazy XD
They totally switched personalities razz

Beatrix - A friend came with me when I went to adopt my first rats. This baby was one of the cutest little charmers of humans ever. My friend wasn't even interested in rats, but she immediately fell in love with this little blue just like I did. The entire time we were there trying to choose between babies, my friend kept commenting on how "She looks just like a character from a Beatrix Potter book!" and repeatedly calling her Beatrix. The name just stuck after I adopted her.
Virginia - The only rat so far actually named by me! She was named in honor of my grandmother who had passed away a few months before. My grandmother had black hair and was always a quiet, extremely self-conscious woman. Virginia the rat was soooo shy as a baby/youngster, and has always been so beautiful looking, that the honor really seemed to fit.
Proton - She's always been a little spazzing bundle of speed. Right from the start, she repeatedly impressed us with her speed. My husband wanted to name her Hadron after the particle accelerator, but I thought that sounded too much like a boy's name. So we settled for Proton. It still sounds kind of boyish, but her personality is kind of tomboyish anyways.
Dusty - Was already named when I adopted her. Don't know why she got the name. I've always thought it's kind of an ugly, unsuitable name for her, but she was already a year old, so I didn't think it was fair to rename her. Your name is your name, ya know?
Belle - Was already named when I adopted her. I was told she got the name from bluebell flowers. Again, she was already a year old when adopted, so I didn't think it would be fair to rename her. But I did decide to add the "e" at the end.

My current ratties do not have unique names sweatdrop They're all named after characters in a book I was reading. With so many to name I was very uncreative. But my beta have creative names Chika Cherry Cola is my female and my males are Ghost Feather and Spangle >.< My cat's name is Oroeo- that's how I thought it was spelled when I named him and I just kept it that way. I also had a mouse named Hiysinphlay ^-^ and one named Count Jumpie! Hehe it was funny at the time
