ok before anyone starts with me, i know this zombie stuff is for fun. but i want to know if you think it could happen. and if you do some scientific evidence would be much appreciated. you dont need that much detail but references and s**t.

i think it could happen. there are lots of diseases out there and they affect everyone differently. i think i version of rabies could do it, insanity, inflammation of the brain, violent behavior, plus the whole biting thing. but it would have to be changed since its not the same with humans.

I think maybe it could really happen that a mixer of vaccines and a diease combined could form into something that is like the zombie virus. that we have to many vaccines that make us not able to defend ourselfs against the virus because weve tooken so many meds that made are ammunsystems so weak we cant fight off the zombie virus

i dont really know if that would be a cause. maybe once the virus hits it would make us more susceptible to it.

Seriously, buy it or read it and you will be enlightened i have both bought it and read it. ive owned it for many years. i wasnt asking what the guide says, i was asking peoples opinions.

There are many diseases.... but the closest thing that would most likely happen would be the Quarantine and/or 28-(Days/Weeks) later zombies. Those zombies are still alive and can die of starvation but are driven mad causing them to attack people. Max brooks zombies are dead. There is no diseases that brings the dead back. A parasite would be the only thing I could thing of that "might" be able to "bring the dead to life." But for now there is no diseases or parasite that can bring the dead back. So for now zombies are just for shooting in video games. Left 4 Dead 2 HELL YA !2012... THE YEAR OF THE FLESH EATERS

-Those are not zombies!!!!!! In Quarantine they even said it was rabies >.< And in 28 days/weeks later and Carriers(3rd installment i have yet to see) It's "the rage virus" which gives the effects of rabies, like in Quarantine. They the same kinda strain of Rabies, not zombies.

Besides being undead (and everything which directly follows that, like rising from graves), which is in every way impossible, they fit every other criteria. Also, I don't think 28 Months Later has even hit commercials yet.

Carriers isn't about zombies...or a "rage virus" or anything like that. its just a disease that kills people. it doesn't make them homicidal or anything like that and it doesn't make them come back from the dead.

Oh, sorry. I was told Carriers was the 3rd installment. And the Quarentine things aren't zombies because it straight up says it is a very advanced form of rabies, so the people aren't dead persay. 28 days/weeks later is, like I said, similar to rabies in that it doesn't kill the host, again persay, but rather turns them into rabid beasts SIMILAR, BUT NOT EQUIVALENT TO, zombies.

Yeah i was hoping for a lot more out of carriers but i was disappointed...not enough violence. But yeah as far as true zombie movies the 28 day's line and many others like quarantine aren't "real" zombies per say. Great flicks still though.
