I'm looking for some advice.
I have a friend (or it might be more than one person, I'm not 100% sure) who is depressed and suicidal. You guys might/might not be familiar with formspring, but basically people leave you anonymous questions. I've been getting a lot recently about being depressed and about suicide, and I'm trying my best to give good answers, but I don't know how to get through to this person. I've said I'll be there for them, I've asked them to talk to their parents/a counselor at school, etc., but I don't feel like I'm making a difference. I've been asking for them to talk to God, I've been giving them Bible quotes (ex. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17: "Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.") But I don't know what to say anymore...
I just was hoping for anything you guys think I could use. I'm not a psychologist, I don't know what the best things to say are; I don't know if I'm helping improve the situation. (I hope I am). At the very least, I could use some prayers for this person; they really need it.

You really need to find a way to get them professional help. If they won't do so of their own accord, tell a school counselor or their parents. They may resent you for doing that at first, but it's the sort of thing they'll almost certainly forgive you for, and even come to thank you for in the end.
And of course, continue to pray for them and offer whatever words of hope and encouragement you can. But please do whatever you can to try to get them professional help.
I'll be praying for both you and your friend(s).

Honestly praying for God to help them never hurts. At the very least it'll cure some worry on YOUR end so you can see things through. Before ya do anything else get that done first.
After that find someone who CAN provide help. Truth be told if your friend told you about their depression then there is some part of them that wants help, therefore allowing hope. Try and tell someone about what's happening (besides us) like what Guillotine suggested.
Of course whatever you decide to do make sure it's done promptly and delicately. A heavy-handed attempt may prove to be just the thing to cause them to kill themselves.
