Delita Hyral/Heiral, from Final Fantasy Tactics. He understands that he lives in a world that is not black and white and, unlike Ramza, is willing to compromise his morals to achieve the power necessary to establish order in not only his own life, but in society as a whole. Disgusted with the class system inherent in Ivalice's social structure, he claws his way to the throne and, despite his blithe political manipulations and his practical disregard toward the church, he manages to be lionized in not only Ivalician history, but also by the Church of Glabados. Though by the game's ending it is implied that he may regret the direction that he took (asking Ramza - a man who could only be remembered by history as a despised heretic - what he obtained out of his years of struggle), Delita ultimately sought to challenge the system and succeeded. His story is not one of a fictional Good versus Evil, but rather of a real conflict of class - in this way, he becomes more believable.
