Okay, when giving reviews to a story, you may like it, you may dislike it, or feel between. When you are giving reviews to people, do not flame a person. A flame is a review that is basically telling a person that they are not a very good author. If you do not think their work is good, critique them, but do NOT flame them and make them feel bad. It is RUDE! Ya'll know better. Plus, think about how you would feel.

Sorry, don't agree~! You'll get flamed and you'll give flames, it's the natural order. I have flamed. If someone has no talent then I'll give it my all on 'em. If they DO have potential and just made some mistakes I'll tell 'em straight what I think they could improve.
See, I read an Eastenders fic (a UK soap opera) and it was about Justin Bieber moving to the set. Seriously. It had no spellchecking, all the characters were OOC and Bieber was a Gary Stu. So I simply said, "Please. Stop writing. When you can piece together a story that is readable and you can get into the mindset of really basic characters, maybe then you can continue. Til then, spare me the horror."
I got the very intelligent "OMG SHUT YER MOUTH MAH STORY IS DA BEST BIEBER IS SOOO CUTE AND U R AN TOTAL IDIOT 4 SAYIN I CANT WRITE U R A LOSER GO LISTEN TO JONAS BROS OF SUMTHIN". Amusing seeing as Bieber and the Jonas Brothers are pretty much the same thing.

However, I don't think flaming is necessarily a good way to respond to those who are new to writing and want to expand. If I let flames get to me, I would probably have stopped writing years back and not been here. I just simply think people should review or critique, not flame. That's my opinion, take it or leave it.

From that, I think you mean the pathetic troll!flames that are all "U SUCK HAHAHA THIS IS CRAP". I mean more intelligent flames that have a reason behind them. So yes, I agree, flames like "HAHAHA" really don't mean anything, and are a waste of everyone's time.
