While I have the time I'm going to post this up here.
I've gotten my copy of Heart Gold (in English this time so hopefully no more idiotic mistakes) and I've gotten through the Elite Four and gotten the national dex, all with pokemon between lvls 40 and 50. Suck it Lance I pwned you again, but this time with weaker pokemon.
I'm having fun piecing together my pokemon teams bit by bit, and I've gotten a couple of pokemon that I don't quite like. So if any of you need a pokemon check in here and I might have it for you.
same with TM's I don't especially use them, so they just sit in my bag taking up space, so let me know what you're looking for and I'll try to help out as much as possible.
Me on the other hand I'm making a personal collection of certain pokemon/items. So if you have any of the pokemon/items listen please give me a shout and I'm sure we could work something out.

I didn't do that, I caught a random 6 pokemon and charged the league with them all at level 44 when I entered. Ended up entering the Hall of Fame with:
Ampharos
Jynx
Golem
Gengar
Umbreon
Lanturn

I'd say replace the steelix, put in Alakazam or Espeon, and for your 6th I'd saying nothing's better than a good poison type to wear them down at the end. Perhaps crobat or Muk? If not maybe a good Dragonite will help out. And if you still prefer something else, try Mamoswine.

I was thinking of changing Steelix and Honchkrow for Skarmory and Tyranitar, as well as adding a Dragonite but I didn't know how that would do

Aku Kaede I was thinking of changing Steelix and Honchkrow for Skarmory and Tyranitar, as well as adding a Dragonite but I didn't know how that would do I prefer Honchkrow to skarmory because it has a higher damage value. Tyrantitar.... eh, maybe if you can level it and specify it by league time. dragonite, you can have as a physical sweep, because thats basically all it has. OR Mamoswine the HELL out of Lance. I have a Scizor, I caught it at the Bug Catching Contest. I dont much care for Bug poke'mon. Sadly I don't have Wifi... T`T
Oh, my team for the Elite Four was as follows.

Lugia (I know, a legendary, lol.)
Ho-oh (Caught it Lv.7o with a Great ball!)
Egg (Had an Eevee in it!)

Opps, I posted that team for the second time beating the leage, the first time I had a Xatu, not Ho-oh, it was after getting to Pewter and getting the rainbow wing that I used Ho-oh... Sillly me.
Anywho I started a new game, so I may have diffrent poke'mon now.
