That sounds like a good topic for a conversation. What was the best fanfiction you've ever read? You don't need to provide links, just tell us what it was and why you liked it. I'll start.
I have to admit, the best fanfiction I ever read was a Naruto pre-massacare story, and told from the point of view of a young Uchiha (who, of course, would eventually be killed). I know it sounds silly, but the OCs the author came up with were really well-developed. Even better, the canon characters stayed, well, in character. Completely.
I felt so sad when I lost the link to it, and never got to finish reading the story... I can't even remember the title. But it was really good.

You know what I'm going to say, right? "My Immortal" by Tara Gilesbie.
But in all honesty, the best fic I ever read was by an author called Tierfal or something and was a Death Note one. It was about Near being able to see the dead characters...

Well I would have to say the best fanfic I read was the one that inspired me to write. It's been forever since I have read it. I don't remember the name, but it was a Ronin Warrior fanfic. But it inspired me to write a lot.

It's a crossover of The Familiar of Zero and Naruto.
It's just a shame that the author hasn't updated in a while sad

Oh, goodness, I've read so many amazing fanfictions in my day that it's hard to pinpoint the best one!
There was one, however, for Fruits Basket that I read. I can't remember the name, and I can't remember the rating, but I remember that the plot line was very good, the characters were not OC and the writer updated often.... The story was everything a good story should have, x3!
There are also Ouran Host Club stories that are amazingly good... But the Fruits Basket one that I read was absolutely the best! x3
