I know there's at least a few of you out there who are into some edgier, more aggressive music, and I figured a thread devoted to such bands might help keep the guild at least somewhat active.

Anyways, post you favorite hardcore punk bands. Metalcore and and crust punk are also acceptable. Here are a few I've been enjoying lately:

Girls Against Boys
The Comes
S.O.B.
Necros
Husker Du
The Rival Mob
Rogue State
Stretch Arm Strong
Hot Water Music
This Routine Is Hell

Sounds hardcore to me. No exactly the kind of thing I'm into, but it's not bad.

Holy s**t, guild. You really need to start caring more about hardcore punk than you currently do.

Anyways, I recently found out about a band called Fuel (not the post-grunge Fuel). They're a really awesome melodic-hardcore/emo band not unlike Rites Of Spring. They have a self-titled EP and that's pretty much it, but it's a very solid listen. They also have a compilation called Monuments to Excess that I'm looking to get my hands on, because I really would like to hear more than one brief EP.

I've also been getting into powerviolence lately, which, for those of you who are unfamiliar, is basically a more extreme form of hardcore punk. Some bands I've really been enjoying include Infest, Charles Bronson, Romantic Gorilla, and Capitalist Casualties.

Well, in addition to the members of this guild actually posting here, I believe they also need to display a greater interest in hardcore punk. As does every citizen of this fine planet of ours.
