Heyy 4laugh so i just joined this quild and wanted to know anyone who had sibling(s) with autism like i do, or any other type of disability. My brother was diagnosed at the age of 3 he is pretty high fuctioning and always brightens my day. cool Also if your just wanting to know any information from my point of view i will do my best to help.
ALSO: if anyone wants to be my friend to further keep in touch let me know whee 4laugh

Since I am an only child I can't say I have siblings with disabilities.
Although my Mom had lots of symptoms like Autism, and I think my Uncle has something, but I'm just so shy around him.

My son has autism. So does his father and uncle, although we don't see them too often. sweatdrop

I have no siblings, but my mom is hard of hearing, and my cats have slight brain damage. Also my cousin Steve and his son Daniel have Turrets. I don't know if this counts, but my first girlfriend was HIV Positive.

In my family I have Aspergers Syndrome. My parents and sister have no disabilities. My younger brother who we got through fostercare the day after he was born and eventually adopted may or may not have a disability like Autism or Aspergers. His birth mother was in to drugs and alcohol and we haven't really had him checked for Autism or Aspergers or any other Mental health conditions. To us he is just like any other 13 year old kid.

I'm on one end of the spectrum (Aspie's) and my brother who is 2 years younger than I am is on the other (they called it "high functioning" Autism, but he has his days).

I am undiagnosed but I do believe I might have manic depression/bipolar because it does run in my mother's side of the family and I have shown symptoms. I also believe that I may have insomnia which started developing shortly after I started puberty.
I have three nephews which are diagnosed with mental conditions. My littlest nephew has ADHD. My middle nephew has Autism, Bipolar, and ADHD. My oldest nephew was born with a sis in his brain which caused the whole left half of his body to be crippled. He also is diagnosed with autism.

i dont have anything besides depression but my little half brother has autism and ADHD and my step dad has autism but there both high functioning

Aside from Asperger's I am epileptic , and have a bit of add. Im not sure if its a disability thou... stare
..Also I may or may not have a sleeping disorder

And it deffiently seems genetic from your pt of view but in my case my brother is the only one with autism. Donn't get me wrong our fmaily has other things like alzheimer's and dementia so somewhere its prob genetic too.
