I just had some idea's hit me tonight like lighting.

We just created an art forum called vocaloid gallery and I started thinking about how our guild has no original banners or artwork of any kind. So I was thinking, Why not have some kind of banner ad competition in honer of the release of Project DIVA 2nd. We could take submissions from July 1st to some time before the 29th. This way we could announce a winner the day the game releases on July 29th.

This would benefit the guild by giving us a lot of banner adds as well as allowing us to hold a competition in time for the release of the game to make it special.

Now as far as prizes, I was thinking about doing a gaia gold prize rather then an item prize. This is because of a situation where some friends of mine where banned due to unknowingly obtaining an illegal item from another user. Gaia from what I was told, irresponsibly banned everyone who had ever possessed the item and took no time to determine who was spreading the illegal item around from the non-suspecting consumers who got the illegal item, victimizing them. Non-suspecting victims like my friends. Of course, I will admit I don't know all of the details. It's just what I heard.

Anyway, the bottom line is that I am now to paranoid to buy or trade items on gaia out of worry that gaia staff will ban myself and possibly the winner who I give the prize item to, if I happen across an illegal item on the marketplace or something. Just like they did with my friend.

However, I do get gold from posting and I know that all the gold I get that way is safe. I was thinking that I have obtained a lot of gold working on this guild. Enough to buy a second guild if I wanted to, though one guild is enough work for me. Anyway, It hit me that we could use that gold as the prize for the event. So why not put up a 20,000 gaia gold prize as reward. I hope that is enough to turn a few heads.

Of course, if we wanted to do a 2nd and 3rd place prize we would ether need to come up with something or break this prize down but then who knows how much more gold I could obtain between now and July 1st. (could be 50 gold or it could be another 20k)

Anyway, there is still quite a bit of time between now and when I hope to host this event, so I guess for now I would like to know if people would be interested or If I should go back to the drawing board and think up something else.
