You can try giving the affected babies a dark chocolate chip (just a tiny one) if they are eating solids. You can also try bringing the baby into a very steamy room, as the steam can help. If it persists, they should really go to the vet as meds may be needed. Baytril is usually prescribed if the rat is big enough, but you can only get it with a prescription.
Thank you! I've heard dark chocolate chips do help, and they are eating solids. I guess I'll cut them into halves and give it a try!
Hmm, I haven't heard the steam suggestion before...I guess I could try that too.
Is it ever okay for rats to sneeze? I heard sometimes it's just a habit, or allergies...that's really what I'm starting to think with these guys.
