Personality: A vampire who is mindful about her feeding habits, Shade is quite the opposite of other shadow mages, often smiling and laughing. She has powers over the dark types of magic but point blank refuses to even learn anything about death magic (necromancy), much less use it. This is another way of how she juxtaposes the traditional image of shadow mages. Her determination to be different and be herself has put her at odds with others of her kind and with other mages but she has some friends, mostly those within her coven and goes to Mirror to relax, make friends and to have a good chat.
Background: A shadow mage from birth, she has always been afraid of death, her reason for not learning or practising necromancy. This put her at odds with her classmates at school and was glad when she got to university where she was accepted for who she was and she became more comfortable with herself and her abilities. Weeks after graduating she was turned by a vampire who attacked her and was only saved from dying by her shadow powers. She was 21 and was thankful that she retained her powers as she tried to orientate herself in the vampire world. Yet again, she was ostracised by many but found her place in a coven that accepts her even with her dark magic. She’s now happy in life as she has found her place in life.
