  Well there's not much here for crew right now, but let this be the first topic for the newly elected members to read. Game XL: It's the 40th game, and the roman numberals are XL which in clothing sizes usually means extra large. So I think we should do something fittingly large and exciting for the game. I have been in contact with some people (insom, mose, a few others) who were suggesting locking the entire guild to prevent people from running back here, and holding a game in a thread in the main forums somewhere. I'd have no problem with this if we could find somewhere decent to do it where we would get a good turnout of people, and the game would run smoothly but if we're not able to do so I don't think it'd be such a hot idea. In keeping with the idea of XL, we could run a larger game than usual, or modify the game somehow to include a larger amount of roles than usual or something similar. Thoughts? Opinions? Ideas?

Okay, so then the big question - WHERE?
I would say the chatterbox, but I feel like everyone would be like "oohhh noooo! Not the chatterbox because we'll just get a bunch of noobs!"
The GCD would be ideal, but that just won't fly because it's not allowed there anymore. D:
I remember for that one anniversary we invited every person who ever played the game? It didn't have a fabulous result, I don't think, otherwise we could do that again.
BUT if we can agree on a place to put it- lets do it.

This is something that we were talking about in the Skype and I LOVEEEDDDD this idea. I don't really care WHERE we do it, we're going to get a good amount of people if we are actually OUT there in the Gaia World.
It doesn't really matter if people think we're going to get noobs. NOOBS ARE OK as long as they want to play and place ((sort of)) nice! Noobs who aren't interested aren't gong to stick around. The 'oldbies' will just have to suck it up and deal with it.
Also-- if people are seriously going to leave because we lock the guild and we do a threadgame ONCE-- serious? I mean, obviously we'd like people to stick around, and I think if they REALLY liked they game, and us, they'd stick around regardless. I wouldn't worry too much about people's reactions. If they aren't into it enough to take a chance, then are they really into it at all? No, not really.
I like the idea of having MOAR KILLERS MOAR ROALS NOM NOM NOM-- but I think we should stick to 1 GM for now, don't want it to get too complicated, yanno?

Here's an idea. If we did the game in the chatterbox, we could do an extra large game, with more killers as well. It will probably take the same amount of time because lots of chatterbox children would likely sign up and then forget about it which makes extra inactivities + more people being killed. Plus, if we put literate in the title and actually kept activity up in it we'd likely get a smaller amount of spammers. It could also be posted on the guild gamemaster account, and people who wanted to help police the thread could have access to the mule to delete anyone who's causing too much trouble.

do you guys want to still run gm elections for the game or should crew just do the updating? Also, i think we should warn everyone that the guild will be locked for the duration of the thread game.

I think we'll get major backlash if we don't do an election. We'll warn everyone what we're doing, hold elections in the guild, and then move to the thread? I mean obviously have the thread set up ahead of time, but, you know what I mean. I think. Do I know what I mean? ((lawlz, anxiety))

I mean, I feel like we SHOULD run gm apps, but maybe hint that we're REALLY looking for a normal-type game with a lot of roles for the big 40?
And then yeah, have it ready to go to thread.
