The mare was walking along the forest, so lovely in spring, the flowers coated the ground, and her home nestled in a group of apple and cherry trees, the blossoms coating them. Each moment seemed better then the next, the sweet scent of the trees almost made her smile. Of all the places, her home was her favorite. She had traveled the land, been everywhere her hooves could take her and back.
She was alone, had been for a long time, her first and dearest friend dead, and the others in her heard never understood her. The walk was good for her, a chance to slip off and relax until the day was over, or maybe she would keep going and explore. It was a good day, slightly cloudy, and the sun started to slide behind a large one, and the scent of rain carried along the wind.
The rain was not bothering her, just added to the adventure. Each day was an adventure to her, and each obstacle was just adding to that fun. Still a brush of death would not make her stop the one thing that makes her happy. Little would she know today was going to be fun.

((I'm sorry I haven't replied yet. It's been a super busy week and I'm moving this weekend I think (I'm in the military and moving barracks) but I haven't forgotten about this! I promise! I'm going to be without internet for around a week or so, depending how long it takes them to switch it to my new room. I'll reply after that!!))

The day would have been beautiful. The flowers were blooming, the sweet scent drifted through the winds the pleasantly pepper the air. Even the slight drizzle and then gentle rain that had started did no more than cool off the air and create sparkling droplets clinging to the leaves and petals of the blooms. It was the sort of day Rainbow Swirl enjoyed, and the sort he liked to take long walks in. In fact, he had set out to do just that. The rain weighed his wings down anyways, so a walk sounded good.
Unfortunately, he had slipped down a muddy and rocky hill, crashing hard against a rotted tree. The thing had toppled, pinning him painfully against what was left of its trunk, one of his wings twisted weirdly be hind him. He called out in pain and panic, unable to move the trunk from on top of him and unsure what to do. He kept calling out, hoping someone would hear him, but quickly losing hope that anyone was around.

Hooves carried her along the muddy ground, her breath calm, though the sounds in the distance made her stop, her auds perking up as she looks around, the auds flicking, twitching, trying to pick up the the sound again, then she heard what sounded like another soquilli calling out.
That slender form turning to the sound, hoof beats pick up as she slips though the bit of trees and to the sound, slowing as she catches the tree and what seems to be something blue under it, but where she was she could not see to much of the stallion. "Oh my." She was more talking to herself before letting the other know she was there. "Stay calm, you do not want to alert the more dangerous things around that your in pain or trouble."
That slender form moves into his view as she looks over the tree, moving around it to see how easy it would be to move it from over the stallion. "Best thing to do is stay calm." She herself was, that calm, almost soothing voice like a whisper in the wind. past experiences, and vast knowledge of travel made her strong in staying calm, more so going against one of the more dangerous Soquili and lived.

He heard the hoof beats approaching and silently cursed himself for his momentary panic as the mare came into view. His embarrassment was complete as she tried to sooth him and warn him to the dangers around. He forced a grateful smile and attempted to turn to regard her more closely but was wracked with pain in his wing. He winced and settled back against the tree. "I think my wing is broken," he stated flatly, clearly concerned. He relied heavily on his ability to fly, and if a wing did not mend properly it could permanently ground the stallion. "The more pressing issue is to get me out of here though. Do you think we can move it?" He tested his ability to push against the fallen trunk and found he could get a little leverage without too much pain from his twisted wing, though he worried it wouldn't be enough. He shook the doubt from his mind. Certainly they can move it.

Those light eyes looking over it for a moment, her head giving a tilt to the side. She was studying it for a moment, more to see how the log was laying, and if there was a way to move it from over the stallion. Eyes moving to the stallion for a moment. She was more worried of what if she could not help move it.
"I do not think that is a well idea, you may make things worse and hurt more then your wing." She said tenderly, her auds still moving. There were a number of creatures in this forest, and a lot of them would not think twice of attacking a wounded equine, she knew that one all to well.
Her eyes seemed to catch a rather large branch not to far away. "I will be right back." She moves back behind the log and out of sight to the branch, she wanted to make sure it would work for what she had in mind. After a moment she comes back around, though dragging that large branch, propping it under the log some, then looks around for something to press under the branch.

He watched her work with curiosity, and then admiration. She was a very clever mare indeed! He started looking around, comprehending what she was searching for. Spotting a large rock that seemed mostly uncovered he gestured towards it. "Think that will work?" He had to admit it, he was very impressed with this female. Where he had panicked and embarrassed himself she remained cool and collected, figuring out the problem instead of foolishly throwing herself at it as he had. "What's your name?" How silly a time! He blurted it out without thinking, but it seemed the theme of the day for him. "I'm Rainbow Swirl."

She looks to the rock and moves to it, looking over how easy it would be to move it. The size showed it may be a bit hard to handle but she could do it. She starts to press in it with her nose, making it, well, roll the best it could moving to ti the branch she had. Her auds lift to his words, and she gives a soft laugh. "Well Rainbow Swirl, I am Armelle, but most call me Mel." Took a moment to get the branch just right to do what she wanted with the mud and all, her snout now mud covered from having to push the rock, but the rain and mud had helped a grate deal in it all. That right fore hoof rests on the branch. "Ok, I want you to roll away from the branch as I push, the force of your body pushing with the branch should be enough to move this." She takes in a deep breath hoping that branch did not snap. "On the count of three."
