John's book. Ah what to say. Everyone that I've encountered loves JM and this just seems to be the icing on the love-fest cake. We see John struggle with his emotions for Xhex, first because he thinks he may have lost her and next because after he finds her he cannot contain his rage at her being hurt and him being helpless in helping her.
Xhex, while she may seem like a selfish b***h at times, is explained in this book. And if Darius' journal entries are confusing let me explain this to you if you didn't catch on. The daughter of the glymeria snob that Darius and Tohr are tracking is Xhex's [Xhexania] mother. She and Rehv are very much alike in their conception. Both had vampire mother's and symphath father's and both of them were conceived through rape. Which explains why Rehv and Xhex are so tight.
And oh my ******** god, the ghost hunters are actually in Mhurder's house. Can you say, "what the ********?!" At first I kinda figured that it was some vampire, but I thought maybe its Butch's real dad [which I'm sad to say hasn't been revealed to us yet!]. But no! They think its some Inn, thats being haunted by the previous owner of the house whose name is to complicated for me to remember right now and the guy just happens to be Mhurder. And we only find that out at the very end, after so many damn annoyed scenes of ghost hunters when all we want is JM and Xhex, when Xhex is watching TV when the special is aired on TV with a portrait of him and she recognizes him. Thats gonna be drama if Mhurder actually shows up in the next book.
Ah, Blay and Qhuinn, what a complicated thing they have. Blay and his unrequited love of Qhuinn and Qhuinn denying his obvious love of Blay because he wants to mate a respectable female. Saxton gets a lot more envolved in this book [AH-HA! I knew he would!!]. They went out for a date but of course, Qhuinn got ahold of Blay before he left and kissed the pants off the poor guy. LOL. Though Blay still went on the date with Saxton and actually, I was all gooey over the fact that Blay and Saxton got it on later in the book [sadly it wasn't graphic because I wish I could have read how that played out. We should start calling Saxton, SEXton.]
There are lots of things going on in this book. JM and Torh are rekindling their relationship and mated Xhex like we all knew he would. Xhex learned more about her past. Oh and Vishious and Payne meet up in this cuddly family reunion type of way were Payne makes death threats about the SV.
Now the whole Lash thing. I laughed so hard about him. First off because he basically ******** himself by going to the Omega about making Xhex a Lesser [though that opens the question as to why the Omega won't make female lessers... hmmm]. LOL. After the Omega went through so much trouble to get Lash and stuff, he ends up being all "I don't need you anymore, buh-bye." Definitely laughable. Secondly, with raping Xhex opened up a can of worms he probably didn't expect; Xhex being a fighter and John being bonded to her. I love how John let Xhex get her revenge though and how Zsadist opened up to him about getting closure by killing his mistress.
THANKFULLY, everyone elses love lives were out of this book unlike Rehvs.
Great book, worth the wait even thought the wait almost killed me. Tell me what you all thought.

I loved it, it was awesome to read, and re read, and then glance at with dreamy eyes while sighing lol About Mhurder, i kind of suspected it right away, and then by like, the second random chapter about the ghost hunters i was like 'i bet my @ss its gonna be about him, doesn't make sense any other way!'. What did take me by surprise and made me go 'HOLY SHITCKICKERS!!!' was that No'One is Xhex's mother, i mean, while i was reading Darius' flashbacks after he was getting closer and closer to the female he was looking for with Thor, i was suspicious about her being Xhex's mother, and then when it turned out she was kidnapped by a Sympath? I just KNEW it! xD But then the No'One part just left my mouth hanging. Its good tho, cuz now im pretty sure she's going to be Thor's mate. Wellsie came to him in a dream and told him there's a circle that needs closing and seeing his history with No'One (whose name we still don't know... at least not the one she went by before No'One), like someone in the boards mentioned, well, seems like that would be a circle of some sorts. Only time will tell. On the Qhuinn and Blay note... well, all i can say is that i want to simultaneously hug and beat the heck out of Qhuinn. I mean, i understand what he wants, or believes he wants and needs, to have something 'normal', but he is pushing away what WILL make him happy, what he truly needs. Idiot. I ADORE Saxton, i really do, he's hilarious and awesome, but i swear that i had to leash my inner fangirl so i wouldn't hate him just cuz he was hitting THEN sleeping with Blay! I mean, JR said Qhuinn and Blay are each other's HEA, and that Saxton needs to happen before they get together... but still! Anyways, fangirl-ism aside, i do love him, and i think Blay needs someone like Saxton, who will be with him and not pushing him away to mature more, to feel loved and needed, and to just evolve as a person before he and Qhuinn end up together. Its just something he needs before getting his HEA.... and i wanna kill my rational side for that -_- rolleyes rofl Payne and V's reunion was very touching, i just... loved it! I feel for the SV tho, i mean, she's getting dimmer and dimmer every book, and i know she's made BIG mistakes, but she thought she was doing the right thing, and now that V's learned about Payne... well, that light ain't getting any brighter... Lash = Divine Retribution B!tch!!! twisted twisted twisted This book was phenomenal overall, it was a page turner all the way, and the story flowed nicely. It answered a million question, and it gave an opening to Payne's book and the next couple of books/novellas (pray to God Qhuinn and Blay do get a lengthy novella like the Warden said she is thinking about making to tell their story. PRAY!!!) to come. It was amazing, and while i still wanted more, i can say this is one of those books that leave you very satisfied once you are done with it.

I can't wait to see how Qhuinn goes all macho man all over Saxton. 'Cause we know thats what is going to happen. That or Saxton becomes that heartbreaking Qhuinn says he is and breaks Blay's heart and Qhuinn goes after him with a knife. Either way, it works out for Blay and Qhuinn.
Yeah, Tohr and No'One will probably get together but I dont see that happening very soon. I mean, Tohr is still hurting over Wellsie but I can see No'One trying to comfort him in his time of need because Darius and him helped her.

lol he deserved all he got.
Now the thing with Saxton is this. i can see there's a lot more depth to him than what we've just seen, and i have the suspicion that its not him who's going to break Blay's heart, but the other way around. At least, you know, the way im feeling the recent development in their story, it just doesn't seem like Saxton plans to play with Blay. And of course, when it comes to Qhuinn, well, i do see him all territorial and stuff when he gets his act together, what he needs is something to snap him out of the stubbornness that's not letting him move on. Heheheheh, i am soooo looking foward to that.
I believe the book after Payne's, which is after this one, will be Thor's and No'One. IF they are each other's HEA. You see tho, the thing with No'One is that while i agree with you about her comforting Thor in a way, well, i think before that they will have to get over their own little bump. After all, he felt responsible for her death all these years... so yeah. Also, JR said how Thor is gonna go hardcore on the lessers eventually and we are not gonna like how its gonna go, and i think we will see this in Payne's book which is why i think his book is next, which will lead to his book. I say this cuz he's ready to be on the field now... so yeah.

Yeah I see Tohr going all types of badass on the Lessers, I think he'll pull a... CRAP! I can't remember which brother it was that mauled Lessers in alleys and basically dismembered them. I can see Tohr doing something like that and getting Wrath all up in his grille about it. I like the idea of him and No'One getting together, but I always thought bonded males only bond once, so I wonder if we're gonna get Tohr throwing off the bonding scent. Which leads me to the whole SV's "this is a good mating" thing. What will happen if its a bad mating, do you think that if Tohr and No'One [if they hook up] will set that off?
Manny and Payne probably will bring up a problem. I can totally see the SV flipping her lid over that, defo since Manny is human [OR IS HE?!? -le gasp-]. I can't wait to see his reaction to Jane being alive, I can totally see Vishous beating his a** twelve ways to Sunday, too.

Bonded males can bond more than once, its just really really rare, which is why, according to JR, it would take a very special female for it to happen... yeah xD
You know, the way Payne is with the SV... i highly doubt anything she has to say matters on this one, also, Manny is half vampire, like Butch. JR said she isn't sure yet manny and Butch are related, but that it would kind of make sense... guess we have to wait and see *shrug*

This is by far my favorite book. I loved it, what can I say.
About the ghost hunters, when I was reading it I didn't understand how it tied in with everything. But along the way it was a vamp because it was obvious. That was a tywister there at the end though.
I wonder how Lash will deal going back to the Omega. Thats rough, poor poor b*****d.
I liked Xhex's history about her mother. I wonder what her actual name was instead of No'One. It was a plot twister that she was alive. I like Tohr's reaction "Yes......how?" lol
I wonder if Payne is going to be alright. They didn'y mention anything at the end, only that she and V were embracing. And the fact that Manny is coming back is like HOLY CRAP, but I'm not really surprised because in V's book it was his[manny] point of view and he looked at V and thought the word brother. I was always wondering about that. We may find out in the next book. Can't wait.

Well, we will find out next book because thats Manny and Payne's book. Like on page 474 Vishous demands that Manny be brought to the compound to fix Payne so that only leaves their book to be written. Unless the Warden pulls a quick one and decides that she wants to write Tohr's or [i'd be happy with this one] Blay and Qhuinn's.

I must say, John's book was a love/hate thing with me...
What I didn't like:
- My brother and I both read it (me first of course!) and he skipped the paranornmal team parts. I didn't blame him, even though I knew they lead up to Murhder. They were slightly boring. I didn't give flying monkey what they thought...
- The total lack of the Brotherhood. Yeaaahh, I know it's John's book and we were all a bit pissy Rehv didn't get much limelight in his book but they are the Brotherhood books. I missed the humour the Brothers gave to the series and their interactions. Yeah sure, I was glad no other couples were inserted in for good measure but to only have tiny snippets of the Brothers? Hmmm.
- Death of Lash. Okay, a less major point xD but I loved him. I thought he was a great bad guy and yeah, before his face and stuff started melting the guy was hot. I am at a loss at who could be the next bad guy with the Omega!
- Xhex. I adored her for her bad-a** attitude and her strength. I know some of her die hard fans would go 'look how much she has gone through' but her life has always been hand in hand with danger. I didn't like her going mushy...it destroyed part of her personality.
- Layla. What an annoying, whiny b***h! Hahaha, so glad that is out of my system. Am I the only one who thinks all the Chosen are so damn annoying? I cannot believe she is there and trying to mate with Qhuinn! Move b***h!
What I loved!
- Lash! Haha part of my love/hate thing. Weren't you constantly on your seat when reading about him? Entranced by what he could possibly do next? Too bad he's dead...
- Qhuinn and Blay. I am a major, die hard supporter of our two boys! Cannot believe Qhuinn is still pushing him away. For once, I loved Blay more than Qhuinn. Their kiss was immense...just wish there was more!
- Sax...I mean SEXTON! Wow oh wow. The charm, the sexiness...what more could a gay guy ask for? He was smoking and although I love Qhuinn and Blay, I was more than happy to let him tutor Blay in the art of the flesh. Just wish I would have seen behind that bedroom door!
- The Omega. I'm a little confused here. Is the omega GAY? The Warden said in the books he only initiated men and then had sex with them...so yeah? Hmmm?
- Murhder. Have I spelt it right? Well, isn't he a nice, evil, hunky man? When he finally came in I squealed liked a piggie! I loved Rathboone? but loved him even more when his true identity was revealed.
- Payne! My brother hated her, I loved her! Cannot believe Manny is going to come in! She is a strong woman and I hope she doesn't lose her kick-a** attitude like Xhex when she goes off with Manny.
*Sigh* Why can't she write faster? xD

Well on the Omega thing, I think maybe he's bisexual? Because remember he was with a female during her Needing to conceive Lash.
As for Lash, maybe he went back to the Omega but because he was becoming mistified he's still around just weaker and not without a human - rotting or heathy - body.
Hehe. I love that my nickname stuck.
You're not the only one who supports Qhuinn/Blay. I really REALLY REALLY can't wait for that book. Not only because we get some boy love but I want to see how they handle letting the brotherhood know. I can totally see them just not saying anything and then like, kissing where the brothers can see and the Brothers just being like "Okay... and you didn't tell us because you thought we'd lynch you."

V and Butch would understand Qhuinn and Blay's situations and they would be cool. To be honest, all of them would. And yes, Muhrder is veryyyy sexy, cannot wait to see what he will do! If he does join the 'good' side perhaps he will end up with No'One? Or...I don't know. Perhaps he will turn bad? Yummy!

I suppose I shall submit my feelings toward John Matthew's book,
well, over all, I loved this book, it was great, I like it so much because in most of this series's books, you can tell who's story will be next, this book, it set up so many other people's stories, while telling John and Xhex's.
I'm really curious on what will happen between Blay and Qhuinn,
I honestly do think that Saxton is going to be killed, I mean, he let a human harm him. razz
Hmmm, enough of my dumb thoughts,
this book was great. 8D

If my beautiful Sexton dies I will cry.
He may be the bumper between Qhuinn and Blay but he's the thing thats ultimately going to prove to Qhuinn how much he loves Blay no matter how much he wants to mate a female.
Anyone got any theories on why the Omega doesn't make female lessers?

I think it was mentioned in this book by Lash, Lover Mine, that the Omega only turned males because he has to have sex with them to get his 'venom-whatever' into their bodies. He prefers males sexually I am guessing.
