Name: Ironclaw Race: Drow Class: Assassin/Necrotic Mage Religion: Formerly: Lolth, Kiaransalee, Zehir (no official breaking of faith)
Currently: Personal Wealth and Power, Honours Zehir and Vhaeraun to a minor extent.
Appearance: Tall and athletic, few people have actually seen Ironclaw without his armour on. He bears the crimson eyes and snowy white hair common to his kind, along with several feral scars and several glyphs tattooed across his shoulders and arms. He is rumoured to be roughly 364 years old. Background History: Ironclaw, as he is now called was once first son of Qu'ellar Barriett. He was secreted away and used as an experimental super soldier, his disappearance being masked by the birth of the matrons third son. Despite the best efforts of the Barriett arcanists and artificers, he maintained his individual mind and soul. Rebelling in whatever ways he could (he taught the matron's two sons the way of martial combat)until he eventually snapped, slaughtering every resident of house Barriett within the compound... Including the Matron and her only daughter, leaving only his two students, his brothers, alive.
The mental breakdown of Ironclaw during the techno-arcane augmentations of his natural body was the direct result of Lolth’s wrath. Despite Matron Barrett’s best efforts her refusal to kill her third son, Malagrar by claiming Ironclaw had long ago died, resulted in the fury of the spider queen sending one of her handmaidens to bring the disloyal house to its knees. The Yochlol used Ironclaw's unstable mental state to its advantage unleashing him in a surge of vengeance. The survival of all three sons was an unexpected irony that only served to cement the Barriett name in shame forever.
His life since has been kept a closely guarded secret until he recently resurfaced with his old name, and took command of Xukuth D'Roesor in Au'Shinduago.
Items: Ironclaw wears layers of loose black cloth draped over his frame accentuated with bits of armour that seem mismatched and in ill repair, namely; -Ornate helm hiding his face. (Enchanted with a permanent Ebon Eye spell) -Tattered chainmail shirt, -Ornate pauldron on right shoulder, -Sylvan bracer (left arm), -Infernally crafted gauntlet (right hand and wrist/part of arm)[Unenhanced] In addition to his armour, he wears a piwafwi bearing the Au’Shinduago Assassin guild crest, and a belt holding several pouches for scrolls, papers, vials and other basic needs.
Combat: Weaponry: Twin poisoned Katars OR a twin-bladed staff(think along the lines of Darth Maul's weapon in basic design). Has a magically augmented clockwork mechanism hidden in his clothes that allow him to launch a bladed chain with a claw on the end from his sleeves. Each chain is a maximum of 25 feet long.
Skills or Powers: -Powers: ~Latent racial powers ~Necromancy: can reanimate corpses, animate mid-sized golems and utilize soul energy into offensive ranged attacks. ~Chain mastery: Allows him to control his chain weapon at will. ~Curse of Weakness: can siphon the strength from target for a 10 minute period ~Lesser Dominate mind: Can influence feebler minds ~Mastery of the Heart Ripper spell
-Skills: ~Exotic weapon specialization ~Heavy armour proficiency ~Advanced stealth training ~Hand to Hand training ~Alchemy and Clockworks training ~Is fluent in Drow, Undercommon, Common, Goblin, and Abyssal languages.
Combat Weakness: After several deaths an resurrections, his mind has once again entered an unstable state, sometimes interfering with his focus in battle.

I have a few questions about this one:
- How can someone be partially undead? This is not Princess Bride, there is no 'mostly dead', there is all dead(or undead if raised), or alive. - Magic items, as always, where did they come from? - Official faith breaking is pretty much irrelevant in a world where the gods are real, they're aware of what you're thinking and will themselves mark you to their most devout worshippers if you break faith, say by breaking faith with Lloth and switching to Vhauraun - Techno-arcane? These aren't illithid, they're drow. They do arcane. - Teaching two people martial combat is a little more than a minor rebellion. - How did he come to join the assassin's guild exactly? - How did he learn necromancy (and golem animation, which is a separate school of magic)? - How did he come to be able to control his chain? - How come he can drain strength, where'd he learn this ability? - Where did he learn to dominate mind? - How can he use the heart ripper spell, what is it, and why?
Mainly just wanting more details before I consider approving, there are far too many powers listed without explanation to approve right now.

Heart Ripper: [Necromancy (Death)] Lvl 4 assassin spell “With a sweep of your hand, invisible magic slams into your target. With a bloody pop and squelch, the heart of your target bursts out it’s back, dropping it like a discarded rag doll” DnD 3.5e Spell compendium pages 111-112
Ebon eye: [Transmutation] Level 1 cleric, sorcerer, assassin spell Allows user to see through magical darkness (I.E. Drow shadow orb) DnD 3.5e Spell compendium page 77
Helm was kept from his old life in house barriett and later paid an enchanter to add the ebon eyes spell.
He has had the above for most of his life.
in regards to the "partial undeath" situation, such was brought about through his brief service to kiaransalee, (details of those events can be found within the guild storyline itself.)
I hate to say this (was hoping not to spoil some key events I was planning) but Ironclaw is the same being as Reivan Quel'Aran (The character I ran way back when the guild was still very active).
Back in the day, All that was known about Reivan was that his house had been destroyed. believing himself th esole survivor he lived as a renegade in the wilds for quite some time before being taken in as house assassin for Quellar Derahel. eventually leaving the house to try his hand at raising Quellar Quel'Aran to power. having failed he converted what resources he had to form the Assassins guild now known as Xukuth D'roesor. During the brief civil war in au'shinduago (during Val'atars absence) the guild was used by the cult of zehir to take power over a portion of the city (this reign didn't last long due to Val'atar's return and the apparent death of Reivan) The guild was run by Reivan's Yuan-ti lieutenant until Reivan returned under the guise of Ironclaw to reclaim his place.
aaaanyways. much of his gear and abilities (the katars, domination magic, curses) are from that time in his life when he trained in survival and was trained by house Derahel.
In regards to the faith situation:
Born to a lolthite house, bio describes why he no longer holds the favour of lolth was taken in by house Derahel, a house of revenancer worshippers, here he learned his necromantic powers and animation spells. He lost the divine gifts after openly denouncing the faith of Kiaransalee the reasons of which tie in with his most successful following as emissary for Zehir in the under-realms. under Reivan's command the faith of Zehir grew strong along with the army of Yuan-ti he commanded. A sudden uprising amidst the yuan-ti resulted in the disappearance of Reivan and the disbanding of the cult proper. Scattering the Yuan-ti throughout their new home in the depths.
The chain control and the techno-arcane aspect are all results of house Barriett's experimentations in utilizing outsider knowledge with their own extensive mastery over arcane magic. Under the rule of Ironclaw's mother, Barriett did much business with other races and organizations, including illithid, dwarven, and human groups. The actual control of the chains is an at-will ability utilizing animation and control magics.
