I was just wondering how many of the Negima readers have branched out and tried any of the other Del Ray mangas, and what you thought.
I myself have picked up the Genshiken series because I thought it sounded interesting, and it actually is. Doesn't have as much of a story as other mangas, but it's entertaining. ^_^
I've also read Tsubasa and XXXholic from my g/f, I didn't like Tsubasa as much(maybe cause I haven't read/seen Cardcaptor Sakura?) but XXXholic was great. surprised

Hmmm, I haven't really read any other Del Ray mangas. I'm thinking of reading Tsubasa, but I still have yet to buy Negima Volum 8. =]

Del Ray got a lot of good mangas that are under the radar. The one that obviously sticks out are Tsubasa which is really good but kinda slow in pace and xxx-Holic which has a better story line but is getting released every 4-6 months. Other series to notice are the Wallflowers, Orthello and coming next month SCHOOL RUMBLE! I seriously can't wait until next month! whee

They're gonna kill School Rumble, I just know it. gonk I'm already building a grave for them.
I've been meaning to get Genshiken, Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicle [both anime series were lovely] and Xxxholic [waiting for movie...], but you know how cheapskape Del Rey is with their pricing. Those "special extras" aren't worth another buck, I'm telling ya. They're supposed to be there in the original Japanese release, but that's just another marketing technique. stare

How could I have forgotten Genshiken? *looks at mangas vol. 1-3 and DVDs 1 and 2 on shelf* That one is really good.

All manga is priced the same here, whether with the "extras" or not. And that's not a technique, that's a scheme. ^^;

I read XXXHoilc and Tsubasa, too. The prices aren't that bad (though buying 2 at the same time gives me a heart attack. xp ) They are technically the better of all publishing companies. I do have to say they help some of us who dont know all the customs in the manga. And I cant wait to read the Q-kon manga! whee
