Hey guys. I'm not sure whether it's just been passing people by, or people or busy, or whatever... but quite a few people voted on the poll. The time has come to pick a book, and the subject is "witchcraft".

I want to hear from everyone interested. We had quite a few people expressing interest earlier but I'm not sure everyone's still keen since not many people have suggested books. I figured maybe people didn't see the thread had changed, so I'm making a new one.

Please post something, even if you're just saying hi and that you don't mind what we read. Please keep an eye on this thread too, because new ideas will be added to the first post and there might be a book suggested that you have strong feelings about one way or the other. If it's going to take a couple of weeks for you to get the book you'll want to mention that too. I'll send out an announcement when the decision has been made and open a discussion thread.

Past Books

Natural Magic by Doreen Valiente
Essential Asatru by Diana S Paxson
Kalavela, trans. by John Martin Crawford
The Spiral Dance by Starkhawk

Currently Reading
Pagan Religions of the Ancient British Isles by Ronald Hutton

I'd be interested in the Valiente.

I'm up for any of those mentioned. biggrin

(went ahead and put in a request at my library for the other 2, that way I'm covered no matter what we choose)

One more day to get your votes in, people! biggrin
Although I think everyone else has lost interest. Lots more people voted on the poll than I thought were into it... anyway.

My library can't get the "Sorgitzak" book, so that one is out for me (apparently there is no library in the country that has it sweatdrop ). Kind of stinks, because it did look sort of interesting.

I'm still interested. Natural Magic sounds interesting and I'm game for it. Sorry I haven't replied sooner. I've been having some irl issues right now.

That's cool. Oh oh, and when we do a Wicca book, we totally have to do "Heart of Wicca" biggrin I read the introduction online yesterday, that woman is awesome.

So, I have my book already wink Let me know when you have access to a copy and we can start reading.

*#@%&$#!!
I really want to get in on this. I have a problem though. I'm going to a Con in another state tomorrow. I'll be gone till late Sunday and I'll be leaving for an SCA event on the Wednesday after that. Even if I can get the ILL thing going, It'll be a couple of weeks till I can get to the book. Would folks be willing to wait for me or should I just try to play catch up?

I'm happy to wait 3nodding Two weeks sounds like a fair enough time frame.

They're still processing my request, so it may be that long before I get my copy as well.

Thank you so much!

This is probably the only time I'll be able to get on the internet in the next week so I'll talk to you all later!
