I am a long way from home. I've gone from my quiet (well, not so quiet) home in Detroit to the Big Apple, the City that never sleeps. It feels odd though, knowing that I haven't been home or even in the state of Michigan in 2 years. I've enjoyed the traveling but I wish I could taste Mom's homemade chocolate-chip cookies one more time. I wonder sometimes, if I'll ever get to hear their voices again. I've been laying low for the most part, more so in New York than anywhere else, the mutant hysteria is insaine over here. Who's this Magneto guy everyone keeps talking about? Can't go into a place without somebody talking about him or these guys called the X-Men, what kinda name is that? Whatever they are or whoever they are they haven't been giving mutants a good name. Mom and Dad said I should check into a place called Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, they heard it from one of their friend's kids who like me, is apparently carrying unfashionable DNA. I'm not that different am I? I don't look really weird or can read minds or anything I'm perfectly normal. . .ok so maybe I can put a school buss on my shoulders, but mutants aren't bad! And who said we were here to REPLACE humans. Being a mutant might mean you have an extra abbility but it doesn't atomatically make you a super genius, does it?
