Ok is it just me or did they try to pull together a more likely group of people this time? I mean last time around everyone was like a rocket scientist or an engineer of some sort, and now there is like a model and a writer a teacher, ect.

I didn't catch the first season but i am watching this season when my work schedule allows it. I'm rather disappointed with it due to the episode where the "rival gang" invades their camp with pepper spray and smoke bombs. Throwing elbow's and punching and actually fighting with a little bit of effort...compared to the colonists who hardly tried to defend themselves in my opinion (if that really was all they had in the way of fighting i feel horribly sorry for them in the event of an actual shtf situation) I just know if i was fighting to protect my camp with my food and my medicine i'd be swinging a metal pipe like i was Barry Bonds going for a home run.
It does seem like a fairly likely group of people, an artist, a model, a carpenter, a mechanic. The odd's are still sort of stacked in their favor. Everyone on this season has some sort of useful skill or knowledge...except the model. However their ability to defend their territory is quite lacking.
