It was a short time period after Euterpe newly awakened. But not short enough that he didn't have several battles with youma under his belt. A negaverse agent? Nope, not yet.
A change of pace was what Euterpe needed. He was tired of playing a good guy. Honestly, Luke didn't think he was cut out for this kind of work as a scout. It was ironic really, being chosen as an agent of justice. The whole "Saving civilian, battling negaverse, partrolling" issue. If someone knew Luke, they might say that it would be the perfect thing to straighten him out. Provided that he actually followed through with it.
"What can I say? I'm not cut out for this." Euterpe sighed, his pokemon headphones falling to a sloppy state on his neck. He fingered his soft blue scarf and play button on his belt with a sense of strange foreignness, feeling quite distracted. Luke didn't like heavy responsibilities-- that's why he ran from them. Would he run away from this responsibility? Who knew? Luke didn't waste time on such a subject, his thought process moving on to more typical matters.
"Man, what a loser I am." He chuckled cheerfully to himself, scratching the back of his head sheepishly. "It's such a nice night out and I didn't even bother to call a girl to hang with." Luke looked up at the darkening sky, one finger running through his list of contacts. One couldn't exactly call up a female and invite her out with a member of the terrorist group that had filled the news recently. It didn't exactly make for nice conversation on a phone.
.. He couldn't call males either. That was crossing the line. Definitely. Males simply weren't up his ally.

Sailor Pegasus was rather infamous for being difficult to get along with. Not in the manner that she wouldn't listen to you -- she certainly would, although depending on your level of stupidity, not for very long -- but more in the way it was difficult to talk to an introvert. She had a knack for coming across as a rather distant, cold person, and not a very helpful one at that. At least... not when it came to social interaction. In fact, there were very few who'd call her obliging in any social part of her life, sailor senshi or otherwise. Just ask Delphine -- she'd tell you. Then again, Delphine would have rather that it been her to run their team, so her opinion might have been slightly biased. Regardless, it was well known, especially to those who had only met her a few times in passing, that Pegasus was certainly not the person to go to when you had questions.
On this particular night, the Eternal Senshi of Dreams had also taken the night to get out, practically ghosting through the window of her Crystal dorm and disappearing alone into the night, something which had become a more and more frequent past time for her. Before Tartaros, she had almost always gone with, if not Eve, than at least another of her team. Considering the number of close calls they had suffered, she'd insisted on it. Now... now things were a little different. Better than they had been, to be sure -- she did not completely vanish, as she had a few weeks prior -- but not quite the same either.
Perched up on one of the lower-hanging branches of a tree overlooking the road, Pegasus watched the other blue-clad senshi as he continued on his way, listening quietly to his conversation with himself and raising an eyebrow skeptically. He was definitely new to the whole senshi thing -- for one, he didn't have the stripes that usually indicated a Super senshi. For another, he was alone, and not checking his six. Lastly, he seemed awfully care-free to be a seasoned senshi. Still, she made no move to make her presence known, (although she didn't exactly try to hide herself, either,) keeping completely silent as she watched.
Why did she always manage to find the newbies?

It was a good thing that Euterpe wasn't going to another scout to look for a tutorial. He certainly wouldn't be getting one from the eternal scout that stood hidden, one hand ruffling through his wild blond hair, in a helpless manner. But suddenly, his hand movement stopped, as if he had become aware of something.
Not something so much as someone.
Luke may have been new to the senshi job but he wasn't new to fighting-- he felt eyes on him, immediately standing up to seek the source. Unfortunately, standing up wasn't the best move to make when one was in a tree. His head hit a branch on top, smacking him squarely in the face, causing him to fall backwards, back facing the ground. His arm extended out, trying to hold on to something but only caught thin air, olive eyes glimpsing the white clothed senshi. One couldn't miss the large ribbon and skirt---- but that was all he saw, red soon blinding his vision from the pain. He had tried-- and successfully-- backflipped in the air, in an attempt to jump back up on the branch but his foot found no footing.
....!
If she asked herself why she got the newbies, Euterpe was asking himself what sort of entrance was that-- for both him and her. He rubbed the back of his sore head, struggling to sit up.
"Yadda yada." He murmured to himself, wincing when his hand met the sore spot. He was absolutely sure it was going to swell to a bump by the end of tonight. "If that was your way of saying hi and nice to meet you, it's nice to meet you too." Euterpe called out, glancing up to the branch where the scout stood standing. Hard to miss her regal posture and fuku. She was like Flora-- a higher level? Hard to miss that frigid expression too.

Well, it was safe to say she'd never seen an introduction like that before.
At first, Pegasus was impressed to find the other senshi had sensed her presence, her eyebrows lifting slightly as he went completely still for half a second. Unfortunately, it didn't last long. Blue-green eyes followed his movement almost in slow-motion as he stood up, abruptly slamming his head (more specifically, his face,) into a slight-higher branch and then proceeded to fall out of the tree, and, when all was said and done, land with what sounded like a hard 'THUD' on the ground below. In fact, it'd been almost comical, especially the look on his face -- had she been anyone else, she might have laughed... or at least reached for his hand. Instead, Pegasus just stood there, barely moving a muscle through the whole display, her expression of surprise quickly slipping into one of skepticism, one eyebrow quirked in a 'did you really just do that?' manner.
It was not until Luke had sat up that she finally shifted a little from where she'd been standing, the quirked eyebrow only etched more firmly into her face as he addressed her. Kicking off the branch, she let herself drop to the ground as well, the bell at her waist remarkably silent, landing easily a few feet away and approaching the other senshi slowly.
"It wasn't," came her slightly cool response, her tone almost just as flat as her expression. She didn't say any more, which was usually to most people's exasperation -- she wasn't much of a talker until you got to know her.

"It wasn't? Well, I'll take it as your greeting then." Luke decided when her silence indicated she wasn't about to start a conversation. She did jump down to meet eye-to-eye with him though. Okay. That meant acknowledgment. Not too bad. Luke noted her elegant jump, more than a little amazed at the swift movements that didn't even sound the bell. She had.. some experience, he noted. He also noticed some things immediately-- she wasn't like Gunn or Chaonis. She wasn't like Flora either. What was she?
Most commonly, among senshi, was some sort of emotion of uncertainty, regarding their powers, fighting experience or overall experience. The female before him was similar to Flora, in terms of ribbon size, but she gave off none of these emotions. Well, it wasn't only the emotions exactly.. but something else. Her mere presence gave off a power surge he had never felt before, not even from Flora. Perhaps Luke did need a tutor in these sort of matters-- Knowing the basics wouldn't have been bad. Knowing that this senshi outranked him two ranks-- well, this information might have changed something. Or nothing at all. (One could bet on the latter, knowing the way Luke's non-existent definition of hierarchy worked.)
He made his way up, pushing off on sore limbs. Remembering his messy appearance from the fall, he took a few seconds to straighten up his scarf and belt before brushing it at his side. He silently praised God. Girl on a beautiful moonlit night? Check. Everything else? Unchecked. Youma hiding somewhere? Unchecked, thankfully for now. Thank you, big guy. If you're out there, I'll make you the best drink on this side of earth.
"Euterpe. Music's my muse and my realm of expertise. Stealthy reflexes? Not so much." He sheepishly chuckled, his headband sliding loosely on his wild hair.
