In my opinion, Indie bands are always so much better than the Majors. Like D'espairsRay... i absolutely love their music. They have many mini-albums and maxi-singles out, but they're still indie... so basically, if they were going to go major, they would have done it by now. I can understand why they won't go major, and don't get me wrong... it's not like i want them to, because believe me, i think most bands start to suck when they go major
which brings me to the point of why i'm posting this... does anybody else know of any really good Indie bands that are worth looking into? The harder to find the better...

Guess what. You're right!
Man, I could've sworn they went major with Garnet.
Ah well, I'm not that into them.
Sorry for making you look like an idiot. In the end, it was me who looked like one.

We don't live in japan so it's hard to know everything! And they didn't go major with garnet... i think they're one of those bands who doesn't want to go major for the same reason i think major band are worse than indies. Like how when Dir en grey went major, their current bassist Kisaki, quit. He didn't want to because he knew they would lose fans

Wait a minute. Isn't Maniac Records under Universal? Plus, aren't they managed by Sweet Child?

D'espairsRay are still major. It isn't PSCompany they're signed with, but I know they're still major. And their more recent music has been so much better than their previous releases. 3nodding Anyway. I don't think there's anything wrong with major bands, but I'll admit I listen to more indies bands myself.. although I'd rather not since they're harder to support. siblet The harder to find the better... I have to disagree. I searched for months to find music by bands like Skull or Mudgett and I was just appalled. I wanted to scratch my ears off my head, it was horrible. Some bands are hard to find for good reason. Not all are bad though. Some indie visual kei bands I'd suggest are GULLET, deadman, HenzeL, Panic ch / Panic Channel, SugarTrip, and WERKMARE. And maybe 839.

I'm still looking for stuff by Aliene M'ariage, but they disbanded a while ago, so it's proving REALLY difficult... maybe i'll ask Kaidan... As far as D'espairsRay goes... i don't consider a band Major until they release a full album... but considering how many mini-albums and maxi-singles they've released... it all works out in the end. Besides... i didn't say i hated ALL major bands blaugh And i agree that their earlier stuff is better... everything after Hysteric News Media is good

siblet Besides... i didn't say i hated ALL major bands siblet Indie bands are always so much better than the Majors. Personally, I couldn't care less if they're indies or major, as long as they're putting out good music. Bands go major for a reason, because they're good enough to do it.

siblet Like how when Dir en grey went major, their current bassist Kisaki, quit. He didn't want to because he knew they would lose fans For reference, Kisaki was never in Dir en grey, he was in La:Sadie's. Once they lost Kisaki and picked up Toshiya as a bassist, then and only then did they become the band that they are called today. Dir en grey also had an indies period for the releases of Missa (FREE-WILL Co.,Ltd), -I'll- (WARNER INDIES NETWORK) and Jealous (FREE-WILL Co.,Ltd.). They were only picked up for major distribution for the five singles and later. :/

And as a reference point: Aliene Ma'riage isn't anything that special either. I have an album and I rarely ever listen to it. It's just not my thing. neutral

D'espairs Ray announced going major last year in, May or something >.o My friends were at the live.
There's a lot of bands still on indies labels, that are going Major.
Kagrra, Miyavi, D'ray.... other people that I can't remember or look up because this current computer doesn't have japanese gonk
either way. just look through kaidan's list.... we've all seen it. >.o she needs to post it somewhere. the announcements is good to.
it's not hard to research
and, "the harder to find, the better" =/= true. I've seen some indies bands.... I've seen a lot of indies bands.... and believe me. They're hard to find for a good reason. No one wants them. gonk
Sleep deprivation. I'll stop not making sense
