Hello my name is Racheal and i was recently diagnosed with having aspergers syndrome along with bipolar disorder. I bet you can see how that could be a double whammy for me.
But anyways, I wanted to share with everyone what i go through on a daily basis and maybe even be open to suggestions or give suggestions to others as well.
I believe my aspergers is high functioning which most types are, but i do have the social awkwardness and things that come with the syndrome. I physically dont look like i have it, but i do.
I imagine things in my head like radio stations and movie channels and all sorts of wild things. This keeps me going and keeps me sane in my life. I cannot tell if it is the bipolar or the aspergers that interfers with my daily life and not being able to get a job due to this spectrum.
I am very immature for my age, but that too keeps me sane, i dont role play anymore, but i used to. But i still play games and what not.
How can you tell the difference between if its aspergers or bipolar or maybe even both interfering with your life?
Sorry i keep ranting. But i was also wondering if the aspergers causes my low self esteem?
okay im done now...o.o

I'm pretty sure the immaturity, daydreaming, and low self-esteem comes from Aspie's... since I've got experience with those things m'self. o.o

I sometimes have bouts of low self-esteem too, but I personally think that's just being a teenager.

Yeah, the social awkwardness can also be part of being a teenager.

Hi there, I too have Aspergers and have experienced social awkwardness. I have never been diagnosed for depression. I like to think that my self esteem is not low, but not super high either. I would like to think I am somewhere in the middle. I was diagnosed with Aspergers in 2007. I am almost 31.

Thank you everyone for replying.
I guess social awkwardness is common amongst people with aspergers it seems. But i wonder if the depression and anxiety i have is from bipolar or something else?
Is it normal to have a bunch of different diagnosis? now they are saying i also have PTSD. -_-

All the different diagnosis are probably a result of your personal history.

It seems for me that my moods are more stable now, and yeah i was technically moody all my life..even as a child.
As for my personal history, i agree it probably triggered most of my crap. >_< (had a bad past)
Thank you for everyone that has replied btw. ^_^
