So I've used iPod, Zune, Sandisc, and Sony. Was wondering what all you've used? (let me know in a post if you answer the questions below)
What was your opinion on it?
Why did you buy it? (quality, price, referral from a source, other)
Would you get a different one than your current one?

for me:
iPod touch 16GB 1st Gen
love it, still use it, they have a ton of apps for it.
Whole family had regular iPods I wanted the touch mainly for functionality of it with the apps.
Have bought a zune, as the iPod is nice, the iTunes software tends to crash a lot on me almost once every 4 months, sometimes twice and I have to re-import my large 80GB+ collection back into the library.

ZuneHD 16GB:
I like it ,the size of it compared to the itouch is a lot better, it has a built in radio that is also HD radio, so if I don't want to listen to my music and I'm not in the car I can listen to the radio.
Bought it for the price of their marketplace. $14.99/month for unlimited downloads for a lot of music, but not all of it.
Right now, nope, I have both ZuneHD and iTouch so I'm good.

Sony Walkman 4GB (handheld), 2GB (tube style)
I liked the handheld cause it held more music than the other ones I had, and also had a built in radio as most sony devices do. The handheld was the frst Mp3 player i had to have a smartmix function, much like iPods Genius mix. The tube one I bought for the style and physical size, I was a bit more active back then and liked that I could pretty much put it in my pocket and wouldn't feel it bouncing around.

Bought them for the price and physical size, bought on my own accord, no reference.

Yes I bought a different one as the size was nice, I felt it was time to upgrade to be with the "in" crowd.

Wow... I had a Zen player for a while... it was the cheapest thing in 2007 so it's what I had... then it died. Then I got an Opal SanDisk player, and another player, both which overheated and died... and now I'm waiting for my 2nd hand iPod nano to go the same way.

Of course, if you wanna hear a REALLY funny story, I'm on my 214th pair of headphones. Seriously. I've counted the reciepts since january last year, and ALL of my headphones have encountered premature deaths at my hands. Sometimes the earphones fall off, sometimes the wires disconnect, sometimes they fall to the pavement from my waist, sometimes they fall in water that wasn't there a moment ago, and sometimes they just die and don't work anymore. It's like I'm cursed or something!

I've had actually four of those... I've also tried Wicked, and Sony... the longest lasting is Skullcandy, but they don't have earbud covers small enough.
