The recent expansion of the Brotherhood of Steel has curtailed. Most of the Brotherhood's current stash of precious resources are being used to build outposts and patrol the ever expanding dominion. We are stretching ourselves quite thin. As such, two things are quite apparently needed: more resources to draw on - fuel, ammo, food - and manpower.
Recruiting from the local villages falling under our sphere of control has been proven to work, so we can start there. But most villages will not have the quantity of supplies we need. However, the Brotherhood might have found a viable source.
Knight Azure had been previously assigned to oversee the development of The Outpost. The base was almost completed when he was given the task of overseeing a group of recent recruits on a scouting mission into the Wastes. The outcome was classified, but it was assumed that the squad completed their mission. The Outpost had since been completed.
The Outpost is a few miles from the main BOS base. The complex consisted of a single main bunker protected by an electric fence and guard station. Next to the main bunker, protected by the same fence, was a garage bunker that lead underground, and a field bunker where briefings were held by squads before they departed on missions. A catacomb maze of rooms and hallways honeycombed under all three facilities. The field bunker's briefing room was where mission attendees were told to gather.
