So after such a long time (I think about 6 years) I am painting again. It's a canvas for my living room.
It's because whilst trying to furnish my new flat my nan and I were walking around a big home shop and she kept pointing at paintings saying how that would look nice here and that would look good there. I kept responding "yeah but why pay X for that when I could paint something similar myself". So she said "Fine go on then" and bought a blank canvas instead.
A huge part of me was tempted to put it up blank just for a joke but then I thought I would accept the challenge. I'm quite enjoying it actually.
When was the last time you painted something? Or is there anything you haven't done for a very long time you wish you could do again?

I used to seldom paint stuff, though I mainly used paint over pre-drawn outlines... "Cheater method" for colouring. That was a couple years back, 3 years maybe.
Although regarding things I wish I could go do again, probably being able to go hangout with friends, loitering around cafés, while ingesting many sweet things, with the occasional karaoke session. Good times...

Because I am an uber nerd, I paint Warhammer 40k miniatures. Although I do a canvas painting here and there. Need to do it more often. As well as all arty type things in general.

Last time I painted....about 4 hours ago. xd Had an art lesson in college. But recently, I really don't feel like painting at all sweatdrop and with my ezcema not getting better, my hands hurts when I get paint or anything on my palms...and that's....too often xd
but hahahha! leaving your canvas blank! haahah that'd be hilarious! hahah xd but wheee! you must show us your drawing when you're done! biggrin how big is the canvas anyway? biggrin biggrin

I haven't painted in about a year, it was something for university, an oil painting, I don't have a scan of it now, but I try to draw regularly, I like pencil drawings and color pencils best, they are clean and give me the flexibility I need, I had posted some of them in another guild. XXin case you want to take a look.

Oh, thanks, I'm flattered *blushes* Nobody ever told me that color pencils are for kids, maybe because they were one of the most important colors in architectural renderings (I studied architecture). If you come to the stationery where I buy my supplies you will find boxes of color pencils that look nothing like the ones kids use (Mine has 36 colors that can be blended with water, and a few more that I bought by numbers, but there are bigger ones). I would like to see some of your arts. smile
