I have great trouble finding podcasts I can stomach listening to. Mostly because it's hard to argue with someone when you listened to it today, but they posted it a year and a half ago and no longer give a s**t.
I used to listen to Deo's Shadow but they never posted, and then turned atheist for some reason, so now I'm disillusioned. I stay away from 'em for the most part now.
Agreed. So far I haven't had any issue with the two I'm listening to today, apparently one had been initiated into the Gardner trad for a time before switching to Alexanderian because he didn't like the naked aspects - and then switched out of that because it was too religious. He's currently studying Hoodoo. The podcast itself is fairly new and has been consistently updating. It has about 16 episodes - last one being a halloween update special.
What I dislike is the other host, a girl who doesn't seem to have anything beyond what would be described as dabbling. She doesn't seem to have any history- admittedly so- other than dressing up as the craft remakes in highschool and having a makeshift coven. She basically hasn't had any real input beyond agreeing with the other dude. She's kinda annoying.
What I did appreciate though was that I walked around walmart looking for mixers for drinks and was listening to them chatter about their view points. That did my soul some good... but none the less I'm sure I'll have some issues with certain things along the way because I feel like they understand-at least conceptually, how witchcraft can be irreligious but they don't really express it. Especially when they got into hexing and stating specifically that "love and light" wasn't their deal. Nothing like a little jaunt around wallyworld listening to people hexing others... :3
They do chatter a bit about the "lord and lady" which kinda pissed me off for a bit until the dude stated specifically of his initiation in BTWicca and BTWitchcraft (not that that matters). Meh, I'm hoping for the best...
I spotted a few "eclectic" pagans and witches and each one of the descriptions of the show makes me want to go slit my wrists and pray to whatever deity would take my blood offering to get them to shut the ******** up.
It kinda made me want to start my own podcast, but I wouldn't know exactly where to start except for:
"Most of this s**t, is s**t."
"You suck."
"End your life."
"Now here's some cake-urine flavor."
biggrin But that doesn't feel like it'd go too well. >;3
