Cyclops Team: Providence Zaku - Production Update!
The kits arrived today. So far, I've worked from the bottom up.
Now, the problem with these two kits is the way the legs connect to the feet. The ball and socket is inverted on the Zaku and Legend, meaning it had two sockets facing each other. Using components from both kits, I forged a "double ball" joint, rather like a dumbell.
The armor on the Legend's legs DOES mean the feet lack side movement, but they still move for poseability.
I drilled 3mm holes into the top section of the Legend's leg in order to insert the conductor cable. The upper half of the leg is standard zaku. The waist is standard Legend.

Yeah, us guys in europe get it tough thanks to bandai withdrawing the kits. sad
Fortunately, I have a debit card, and order from www.hlj.com...
I'm looking for a new supplier, because they're getting REALLY slow on orders now.
Production update.
Torso needs a bit of work to better fit with the waist, but it's essentially smooth sailing.

that's a master grade. not a high grade. It's 1/100 scale, not 1/144.

Hlj? you'll be waiting best part of a month.
PostPosted: Mon Mar 06, 2006 12:02 am

Hmm... Ok, I can wait that long. If I have waited all these years, another month won't do much difference.

Crap... I killed this topic... sweatdrop
