If mercy were to die/quite what would happen?
  Muko takes charge without argument
There would be a fight like in the (uncivilized) Demon faction
  The thieves would all die.
Someone would contest muko and lose.
A young upstart would contest muko and win.

A thief can come and rest here, have a drink, and watch their pockets.

Lila was more relaxed since she felt safe. She grabbed the back she picked up and opened it. A screech soon went off and she dropped the bag covering her ears. She hissed and tried to remember the spell to brake it since she used the spell a few times herself.

Toneldren the Conjurer

PostPosted: Tue Nov 02, 2010 10:45 am

From the marketplace,
Toneldren the Conjurer
The magician kept following until he seemed to hit a dead end. Looking around, he realised that the scenery was on the verge of changing, the busy streets and well made stalls of the marketplace soon turned to the slums with poor street peddlers. He didnt know where to go, but he felt the presence of his bag getting further away, and the area confirmed his suspicion that a thief had taken his coin purse.

A direct route did not seem possible due to the dead end he seemed to have hit. However, luckily, he could find his way through the streets and take a detour due to being able to feel out the location of his bag.

When suddenly a very distinctive screech broke out through the air, did he know that his bag had been opened. He picked up his pace and began to move quickly, zeroing in on the location as he dashed through the dirty streets, flipping through a notebook on while on his way, searching for a spell.

The magician was making his way towards the source of the noise.

Lila still had her ears covered and began to mumble in latin. She was saying spell after spell to turn the stupid thing off. It didn't help though since it was just giving her a headache.

Found it. He needed a spell for quick transportation, and a dimension door would work well enough, the only problem was the risk he'd take of travelling into an occupied space. The best he could do would be to rely on the location of his stolen bag.

He stopped in the streets and turned to face a wall, etching a crude door with chalk against it as he mumbled the words of a spell and leaped into the portal that appeared.

He fell out the other side, inside the hallway of some building which he didnt know. Must be the thieves guild, he figured.

The screeching noise came from a door right in front of him, and kncoked twice, loudly, for it may not be heard over the noise of his bag.

Lila couldn't take the noise anymore she rushed to the door and opened it to see a guy standing there. She frowned since she didn't know him she looked him up and down and realized it was his bag. She then took a deep breathe and sighed it out.

"Pardon me, madame, but I believe you have something that belongs to me." he spoke very politely, with no hint of anger. It wasnt like he had a reason to be angry anyway. The entire coin purse ordeal was a set up anyway, and he knew exactly what he was doing.

He gave the woman a curt smile before he spoke again, lifting his right hand up in a forward gesture, asking for permission to enter, "may I?"

Lila would have cursed the man out but she did take his coin bag. She moved out of the way and watched him closely this was her first time ever being caught so it did hit her pride. "Turn it off," She said in a husky voice she always had to keep it husky when she was younger so she could pretend to be a boy. "Please," she added after a pause.

Toneldren quickly made his way into the room to retrieve his stolen bag. Even if he didnt outwardly show it, the screeching noise was painful, and he would like to make it stop as much as anyone else.

Picking up his bag, he whispered something against it and closed its opening to shut it up.

He turned towards the woman but remained silent for the moment as he put his words together, keeping an eye on her in case she suddenly decided to attack.

First, a question, "I am in the thieves guild, correct?"

He needed confirmation. He wasnt exactly sure, as he had to arrive here via magic, nor did he even know his own location.

Lila was as cautions as this guy was being, "No your in Mary Poppins home." She felt like she was dealing with an idiot but of course no one knew where the guild should be at. She let her eyes wonder over him and measured him up debating if she could take him or not if she needed to.

"Right..." Sarcasm. It probably meant he was exactly where he wanted to be.

"Please, sit down," he waved towards a chair as he took a seat himself. First and foremost, he was a professional, and some things had to be handled in certain ways, and in this case, as a diplomat, he showed no hostilities. Clearly the woman was suspicious of him, so by taking a seat, he purposely left himself defenseless so she would ease up a little.

"My name is Toneldren," he began with an introduction, starting from the beginning, "and if I am in the thieves guild, then I have some business here."

Muko walked in head down, his boots left a half-a**'ed blood mark where he stepped. He dropped into a seat at the bar and waved the bartender over, who filled a shot glass with whiskey then left the bottle. Muko downed the shot then filled it back up, he repeated this until the bottle was half gone. When he looked away from his bottle of whiskey, it was to his bloody bootprints.

"oh god! i am so so so so sorry!" He jumped up and ran into the back, only leaving more bootprints. He came back in on his hands and knees scrubbing at the marks his boots left. "so so sorry" he continued to mumble to himself.

Lila watched the guy even closer and sat across from him. "What do you want from us?" She said in a cold tone but it was better than her angry one.

It certainly didnt seem like there were a lot of friendly people in this city with the tone the woman gave him. And she didnt give an introduction either.

He took another pause to put his words together. It wasnt that he was slow in the head, but rather instead, meticulous.

"My employer believes that trouble between factions is brewing within the city, and has sent me here to offer aid, if your organization chooses to accept it," he paused for a moment, unable to tell a lie or leave out important details in this kind of dealing, "for a price, of course."

Mercenaries, that was exactly who they were. He stopped talking, wanting to see the woman's reaction and response.
