Crossbow: Wooden with sharp metal edges on the bowhead allowing for close and long ranges. Crossbow bolts are poison tipped.

History:
Calamity was a mercenary who witnessed the deaths of his entire family, he was spared and brought to the head of the group to make a deal. It was either pay them or die, he lacked the money so he became an assassin working to eventuallyd kill them; his blood money became his payoff, once he fulfilled his debt he continued as an assassin and was noticed by the Templars as a threat. He was forced to kill his father (a bandit leader) as proof of his obedience to the Assassins' Order. He has killed over 20 other Templars whilst on contracts.

One problem, The Assassin's and Templars are two factions that despise each other. It's highly unlikely that they would leave a Templar commander alive and just be content with eliminating his soldiers, much less taking him to make a deal.

One problem, The Assassin's and Templars are two factions that despise each other. It's highly unlikely that they would leave a Templar commander alive and just be content with eliminating his soldiers, much less taking him to make a deal.
Perhaps he had relations with the assassins such as family traits... I can't edit the profile, my iPhone won't let me.
