Woot! bored in English class, so i might as well make a new thread, neh?
So, the purpose of this thread is quite simple: Every day, I will post a fortune cookie that i have gotten (or at least try to). I hope tat this thread will eventualy become well used, and become a center for philosophical conversations about simple, and often very non fortune-esque. This is also a good way to keep Timber of your back on guild activity, so go ahead and post once a day! So, let the games begin! Discuss, get inspired to eat chinese food, ignore this topic completely (( crying )) whatever. smile

"Don't let statistics do a number on you."
Personaly, this is one of my favorite fortunes. Im not sure how long Ive had it, but its been in my wallet for quite a while now, and I think it is a great 'fortune' to start the thread off with. Being a very mathematical person myself, I think that this is advice that everyone can use in their lives. And hey, its almost funny, man.

"To let another into your heart, first let yourself in."
Well, Ive gotten this one before. But its nice, and it, too, is good advice. Takes a little more thought than yesterday's, but the same sort of message.

small opportunities are often the beginnings of great enterprises.
i got this one on a day when i felt like my life was going nowhere and it reminded me that a journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step.

Oh! Yesterday, I got one that said, "Today's bad luck will be tomorrow's triumph." I really liked that one. Oh yeah, and I'm happy this guild didn't die while I got all caught in my friendies guild! That would have made me saddened in my heart... mrgreen

I remember quite clearly receiving a fortune cookie which told me: "You will live a long and prosperous life with your wife." neutral haha Veeery nice.
I also remember the day my dad got two fortunes in one cookie. It was funny because they said: 1. "Many hands make light work." 2. "Too many cooks spoil the broth."
