Concerning Journals:
They're completely optional, but insanely useful to keep track of your Petalura's vital statistics, including its point value (which will come into play quite soon), plain text gencode, parentage/ancestry/offspring, and so on and so forth. If you want to RP in it, that's cool too.
If you want one, gimme a ring and I'll make you a first post for it. Me making the first post is just so that I know all the correct information is there. After that, do with it as you will!
Also, if you have more than one Petalura, tell me if you want them both in the same journal. You can have as many separate journals as you want, but it might be more convenient for you to have them in the same one.
Concerning RP:
This is also very optional. Petalura don't have to be RPed, but they do require some participation, if that makes any sense. Anyway, I don't have a real good story yet, so if anyone suddenly has a good idea for setting and backstory and whatever other accoutrements you would think we need for an RP, just say the word. At any rate I probably won't be intensely involved in any RP going on, unless, uh, I feel like it. XD So don't set your RP clocks by me.
I think I'm just making up expressions now. @_@
Concerning Shows:
Yup, shows will be held here in the guild (much more convenient that trying to keep track of everything in the main thread), so if you want to participate in shows you kinda have to be a member of the guild. XD
Shows will probably be both roleplayed and out-of-character, kind of depending on what you guys feel like doing at the time. I dunno. Anyway, to enter your Petalura into a show, all you have to do is signify in some way you'd like to be in. You'll know your point value beforehand, especially if you have a journal 'cause that's one of the things I'll put in there. A raffle-esque list will be posted on the first post of the show thread with each Petalura entered for the number of points they have. For example:

3- Bob
4- Lily
5- Lily
6- Beethoven
7- Kit
8- Kit
9- Kit
So, there are four Petalura entered, with Bob having three points (and thus being listed three times), Lily having two, Beethoven having one, and Kit having three.
If people want to RP it out, we'll do that, and at the end of it (whenever that is), I'll pick a random number, and the Petalura listed under that number will win. Meaning that the Petalura with the most points won't necessarily win. It seems more fair this way anyway.
The winner will get something (which might be announced beforehand or kept a secret). It might be a Gaia item, some gold, store credit, a Petalura item, or something else nice like that. You never know.
