This is one post that we have been needing for a while. In order to do anything in this world, and certainly in order to take over the world, we will need money. This, in and of itself, should be self-evident. So the question is....how exactly are we, as an organization/political group going to get funding?
I, myself, have become very interested in finance. So I have started up this topic in order to get your ideas in how to gather funds for our group. Remember that this includes the present and the future. So you can talk about your ideas for gaining money for the group.

This is interesting, because one of the things I'd want to do with world domination is to get rid of all world currencies.
As for obtaining the resources to take over the world we would need a huge support group. We'd have to have motives and goals that a large percentage of the population would agree with, and we'd have to get a lot of publicity. You get support, you get donations.
To start gaining support though, what we stand for has to be solidified. Nobody will support a group with no set (realistic) objectives and plans for the future.

Alas, to get rid of currency is to get rid of a form of greed. People lose their lives obsessing about how much money they don't have. With capitalism, there is always an underlying competition for the currency. If you have money then you're set, if not then you better get some.
This is what I don't like about money, and in fact our society in general. Money, the lack or over-abundance thereof, causes stress. If you have too little then you are worried that you will not survive. If you have too much, then you are worried that everyone is trying to take it from you or that people will kill you for it. Sure, money has its uses, but is it really worth the headaches?
They have set up so many rules, and regulations that it's becoming a major headache for everyone. Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Violence..many of these are caused by the stress of everyday life. Since when has life become more of a burden and less of a gift? What happened to all the cultures who made life a celebration. What happened to all the cultures who worshiped nature and it's beauty? Where are all the people who believed the naked body to be the epitome of art? They were killed by war and the desire for power. They were thwarted by people who were jealous of their happiness. So I think that getting rid of currency might solve a few problems. ______________________________________
First we have to find out what a large percentage of the population would agree with in the first place. Right now, we should start learning about the world around us. We should find out what is wrong and think of ideas on how to make it better. Once we get bigger, we should consider attempting to attach to a bigger corporation that agrees with our ideals. The fact is that as we are right now, we will not get anywhere, so changes will have to be made to the guild.

As unfortunate as it is, money has its great uses as well. Getting rid of it would get rid of the driving force of competition that forwards many technologies and ideas. There would have to be something to replace it, something that still gives the illusion of this competition.
Humans are naturally driven to try and have more, be better, than those around them. It's simply natural selection at work.
A new system would have to be based on something that contributes to the well being of everyone, but allows for advancement among individuals. Possibly a system based on education and contribution to society?
What would the group's main ideal be in the end? What would our so-called perfect world look like? It is quite easy to draw ideals from the answer to that question. From those ideals it is quite easy to pick out which the general population will agree with, and the general population is easily susceptible to propaganda (thus the negative connotation of the word, hmm?) so gaining more support will be easy with the right tactics.
I'm treating this whole world domination concept as more of a hypothetical puzzle than anything, and there are many interesting paths it could take.

The problem is that we would need something that wouldn't just eventually end up being money anyways. Perhaps we could combine the education system and the occupational system, (after all they do call it your career)? The more you contribute to society, or to yourself, the more superficial things you are aloud to buy a day?
No, I don't think that money is the only thing that is driving humans to be more, to advance their culture. I think that it is the limited time of life that we have that drives us to advance. There will always be those of us who have the need to do something with their lives.
Perhaps a numerated form of virtues? If you are so hard working your credits go up, if you are mean then they go down? Though some might not like that, as it favors the virtuous. Maybe those who are more attracted to vices could do community service or something to raise their amount? ____________________________________________________________
About the main ideal; the purpose of this guild is to establish a government or organization that resides over the world affairs, serves to protect all humans and the earth they live on, mediates affairs between other nations, seeks to prevent corruption in all forms of government, that seeks substantial change in the way that society operates to update the archaic education and justice system, and to establish decent order in these unfair and chaotic times.
(I can't believe I was able to summarize it that much, needless to say this guild has many objectives. If you have any questions about any particular part of our ideals, feel free to send me a PM about it) ____________________________________________________________
As of right now, that's all it is. It's up to us to make it happen. As for the path it will take, I'm not sure but that's part of the fun of it.

I like a lot of what you guys are thinking, but I don't like the idea of attaching to a corporation at any point because that would come with being contaminated by the desires of said corporation. They would end up trying to manipulate things by using the fact that they fund us to give them pull.
It sounds like we're talking about two different financial plans here: The one we need to start off with in order to fund our rise, and the one that would be implemented after the world changes over.
I'm not yet sure about the second part, but for the first part I think we'd have to establish some businesses that we run, make them profitable and use the proceeds to fund this. It's very possible if we just know what kind of businesses we're willing to get into? Then it's just a matter of learning how those are run, and getting started.

(after we've been established)We don't have to attach ourselves to an established corporation, that's actually what I meant. Make companies that are run by us. The money will bring in one kind of influence. The workers might actually agree with our ideals, so we could even gain a following that way. However, I strongly believe that we should not rely on that because they may just follow us in hopes of gaining a promotion or power (The greed motive).
(before we are established) When we organize in real life, I would suggest that we accept any donations from members who wish to contribute. I will, of course, contribute as much as possible to the WDS account myself. Half of the donations will then be invested in stocks for further profit, and the rest will be put directly into the account. Of course, I would not wish to have the group rely solely on donations, that is why it is crucial to start a business and invest part of it. To 'make our money work for us' in a manner of speaking.

Captain zombikiller My goal in life currently is to start up an animation comany, and while I m sure it won't become extremely successful I intend to donate to the cause however little bit I can Which reminds me that I need to open two bank accounts sometime. One for me, so I can finally have one. Two for the guild, for donations and storing our monetary resources. I think it should be stated why I want a separate account for the guild. That way I know what money is for personal use, and which funds I use on guild projects(Such as building an HQ, advertising and other such projects).
