Administration Building
This building contains the offices of Paladins, Elders, and the communications department. Upon entering the building, it's a lobby and beyond that, it's a hallway with doors along the hall, which are the offices of the Paladins and Elders. The offices are for the Paladins and Elders to work, fill out paper work and hold private audiences with members, along with pulling up mission and other data files. Branching off from the lobby is another hallway that leads down to a few doors that contains Communication rooms, where communications comes into the base or messages sent out to distant outposts or squads of men out in the battlefield, providing a essential communications network with base and the field. Here, communications officers work along with members or higher ranking officers who need to make some form of communications using this facility. The other doors are part of the communications branch, but smaller rooms that allows more privacy for giving more direct and often confidential orders, along with rooms that activate the base defenses, which are controlled by either communications personel or a member on duty. This is often considered the heart of The Brotherhood for it contains the network of information that passes not only from distant outposts, but to active soldiers in the field.

((Wouldnt it be more effective to have the paladin's offices in they're respective barrack's so they can keep an eye on they're men? Perhaps the rooms reserved for Paladins could be better used as an auditorium for mission breifings or guild status reports, or any other type of announcement that needs to be made to the whole guild. Also, when its not being used for breifings, we can host events there, so when we create a new thread in the gaia aniversary ball forum for example, we could say that its taking place in the auditorium which would be already described here.))

((Hmm, possibly since this building isn't getting much use. But announcements happens in the "Announcement and FAQ" thread, but you're right about the mission briefings and special events. But this building was supposed to be basically, the Paladin's paperwork shuffling offices or a information center, since it includes the communication equipment for those in the occupation of "communications". So this is supposed to be a multipurpose building, but no one uses it. Of course, no one really uses any of the base building threads very much since they lack the will to RP anything, just talk in barracks threads.))

In one of the rooms of the Communications building, a Communications initiate sits alone, monitoring monitors displaying the outer perimeter of the base. Her long, black-brown hair was tightly tied up at the back of her head, but spilling across the control panel where her arms were covering her face. She had just given up scratching the uniform they had just given her which itched for some particular reason she was unable to fathom.

Lo, the voice of boredom and disheartment. "Communications. PFFFT!! Communicating with spiders!!" A spider, resting at the upper corner of the wall, regarded her with six, beady, black eyes. The initiate raised her head to it and said, "Sorry. 'Didn't mean to offend you." Before letting her head fall with a careless thud to the smooth metal surface near the panel's edge.

Maine Agcine, Communications. The only base defense communications??? And to top it all off, there was no action whatsoever. Communications only had a little more motion than a rock. She wondered whether any senior from Talon could come and make her life a little better. 'Give her anything else to do aside from sitting and rotting in one place. She was willing to do anything; washing dishes, scrubbing floors, cleaning cobwebs, {except Ed's (the spider she talked to) cobweb of course} and whatnot. Anything but decaying alive.

((That was a good RP post, I actually enjoyed reading it, very creative in the thoughts of your character.))

[Thanks so very much, General Ender. whee 'Been a bit since someone complimented me on my rping. whee ]

Throwing herself back against the chair, letting her arms limp at the sides and her head loll backwards, Maine let out a huge gush of air to let out her exasperation. She lazily lowered the zipper of her uniform to her chest, exposing the sweat glazed skin and the dampened undershirt. She picked up the front fabric of her uniform and fanned herself with it. At least, she thought, I can relax a bit without anyone breathing down my neck.

She dreamed of being back out in her childhood province near the beach... Drinking coconut juice from coconut shells... Swimming in and out of the coral reefs... Picking up shells and discovering tide pools with clear water and all kinds of marine life...

"Why'd I ever get into the Brotherhood, anyway??..." she muttered, wondering. "That job at the Kahuna Grillery was promising..." Maine pondered and then pouted. "Nah... Too many tourists and butt-slappers."

"Hmm... Why then??"

Because you're over-qualified for anything back home, that's why., said her inner consciousness.

"Oh." was all Maine was able to say before she went back to her job.

((No problem, also, make sure to post in Talon Division Barracks once every three days to be counted active and meet the minimum posting requirements.))

walking in quietly, ktown saw his new station, the much abandoned, very quiet commo room. Brushing the cobwebs off of the desk, ktown examined some of the old equipment.
"Wow. This is some archaic stuff. Pretty quiet too. No wonder the old commo's person left." Then why are you here, idiot?
"This is going to be one neat trick, one person reponsible for communications for a goodly amount of people. Oh well."
Now here is where I could use some of the guys from the UGMF....
Sitting down, ktown pulled out some equipment and began tinkering, doing the basics that had enticed him into his specialiezed field.
well...at least it will be quiet.
